Property Description for 184 Kent Ave, C203/204

The Crown Jewel of Austin Nichols House, C203/204 is one of the most incredible 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home that the building has to offer! Spanning 1357sf, this home has been fully customized, renovated and designed by the current owner and is unlike any other in the building. The grandeur and space is unfound anywhere else in the building and it is felt immediately upon walking through the entry foyer and into the 24’ Great Room with incredible 13’ loft-ceilings and endless oversized windows. The living room has a separate dining area adjacent to the open chefs kitchen that can comfortably sit 12 dinner guests. The chef kitchen is an entertainers dream. Outfitted with soft-close custom cabinetry, Bulthaup countertops and under cabinet lighting, the kitchen features two pantries, tremendous storage, a Gaggenau five-burner cooktop, range, and built-in dishwasher, and Sub Zero refrigerator plus full height dual-zone 40+ bottle wine fridge; this kitchen lacks for nothing.

The living space separates the two over-sized bedrooms. The king-sized master enjoys a beautifully built out walk-in-closet with custom California closets, a separate home-office work station and an en-suite bathroom with Pietre DItalia Nero mosaic floor tile, honed Gioia Carrara marble stone walls, walk-in tiled shower, and double-width walnut vanity with all Kohler fixtures. At the opposite end of the apartment, the secondary bedroom is nearly as large and enjoys its own customized walk-in-closet and private bathroom with deep soaking tub. The home has central heating/cooling controlled by a NEST thermostat and an in-unit washer/dryer.

Built in 1915 as a Grocery Trade, then later converted into a Bourbon distillery, Austin Nichols House has been expertly preserved and converted into a beacon of contemporary loft living. Situated in prime Williamsburg, Austin Nichols House is one of only a few landmarked buildings nestled along the Brooklyn Waterfront offering Manhattan Skyline views, tranquil outdoor space and the North Williamsburg Ferry Landing located outside of the buildings front door. Boasting over 30,000 square feet of amenity space, residents enjoy a waterfront gym, children's playroom, landscaped courtyard and roof deck, residents lounge with catering kitchen, co-working spaces, movie theatre, music rehearsal room, zen garden with firepit, and building garage. This is unlike any living experience New York has ever seen.

This is not a sponsor sale & has been fully customized and differentiated from the sponsor finish.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
