Property Description for 493 Park Place, 4-R

As you enter this one bedroom apartment with exclusive roof rights, located on the top of this boutique condo, you'll be struck by how bright and quiet it is here. You'll find this unique apartment has everything you could need: beautifully renovated, loads of light via the top floor windows and skylights, and much, much more. The gallery is lit by skylights, and the hardwood floors and exposed brick add warmth throughout. You'll find it hard to pass by the bathroom without admiring the beautiful finishes and clean lines - and of course, the stacked LG washer and dryer. You'll find a spacious bedroom with a well-organized closet and two more windows to let the light and fresh air in. The living room and kitchen are at the end of the hall, and the super-efficient layout means not an inch is wasted here. The kitchen is beautifully outfitted with a Bertazzoni four-burner gas range surrounded by wood countertops with a white subway tile backsplash and white upper cabinets. A whimsical splash of seafoam green on the lower cabinets adds to the charm and makes this a standout offering. And let's not forget your private outdoor space to explore the possibility of your own deck, located one flight up. Make this move-in ready apartment your own. Pets upon approval. In-person showings: We care about your safety! Please take the time to 'walk through' our 360 Virtual Tour posted on our website, then reach out to us, the seller’s agents, to ask any questions you may have about the property prior to scheduling an in-person viewing. Once we have your pre-approval letter (or proof of funds) we will set a time to meet, and kindly ask for 48hrs notice for all showing requests. Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
