Property Description for 100 Barclay Street, 12-C

For rent furnished or unfurnished (the bed is built in). Mint condition One Bedroom with Home Office in the historic Ralph Walker building at 100 Barclay St in Tribeca. Two walk in closets, added built ins and storage unit. Open northern exposure with partial river views.

The world's first Art Deco skyscraper, opened in 1927, this was originally the headquarters of the New York Telephone Company. The ornate lobby features ceiling frescoes that detail the history of telecommunications. 100 Barclay St was made an official city landmark in 1991. It opened as a luxury condominium in 2016.

1,042 square feet, 10 feet ceilings, beautiful 7 feet tall oversized casement windows and 4 inch plank custom-stained white oak floors throughout come together to create prewar proportions with a modern sensibility.

The walnut-paneled entry door opens to the Great Room facing North. Walk-in coat closet. Spacious lounge and dining areas with added built-in.

The open kitchen features Calacatta Gold marble countertops, backsplash, and an island with seating for four. Custom cabinetry and hardware, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer and wine refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, and speed oven. Wolf gas range and oven are fully vented by a recessed stainless steel hood and features a Dornbracht pot-filler faucet.

The Bedroom features two closets, one of which is a walk-in, plus the addition of sleek and generous built-in drawers. The Home Office can also double as a Guest Room.

The luxuriously finished Master Bath has polished Calacatta Gold marble tiled walls, high honed herringbone pattern marble floors with Lagos Blue limestone accent, Waterworks fittings and tub, custom designed vanity with under-mount sinks and radiant heated floors. Full sized LG washer and vented gas dryer are included.

No detail was overlooked in the design of this residence with a multi-zone four pipe fan coil heating/cooling system that carefully controls the interior climate throughout.

100 Barclay St offers an unprecedented 40,000 square feet of carefully considered amenity spaces which affords the most comprehensive offering in Tribeca, and a truly rare offering for any New York building. Services and amenities include: 24-hour doorman and concierge, fitness center designed by The Wright Fit, an 82-foot lap pool with an adjacent wading pool, and spa and treatment rooms. At the club level on the 18th floor, the program expands to include the perfect entertaining spaces: billiards room, a club lounge with bar and dining area, four outdoor terraces, kid's playroom, game room, media lounge, wine tasting room, and music practice rooms.

Close to the Financial District, 100 Barclay St is just a few short blocks from the river, prime retail at Brookfield Place, and a number of fabulous restaurants including Le District, Nobu, Frenchette, Locanda Verde and Eataly. The building is also right around the corner from the Oculus, parks, movie theatres, Equinox, Whole Foods, the upcoming Perlman Center for the Arts plus all major transportation hubs.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
