Property Description for 200 Chambers Street, 27-A

Those wishing to attend the "open house by appointment" must first inquire to schedule an appointment beforehand. Located on one of the highest floors of Tribeca’s first luxury high rise condominium, apartment 27A offers a sprawling 2,200 square feet featuring 9’ ceilings, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and 3 exposures (East, South, West). Endless views await through floor-to-ceiling windows found in every room of the home. The oversized corner-great-room (measuring 37’ X 21’) comfortably holds an open chef’s kitchen with premium appliances, formal dining area, and an expansive living room with a working gas fireplace. No expense was spared when the home was upgraded to include Somfy motorized shades covering all windows (including both solar shades + blackout shades in bedrooms), Lutron lighting throughout, walls of custom built-in storage in every room, beautiful dark stained hardwood floors, and a sound system. The installation of a sliding panel pocket wall allows the 3rd bedroom to double as a home office complete with a cleverly concealed murphy bed behind the shelving (see video tour for a demonstration of the murphy bed). A gracious foyer is found at the entrance of the home, and down a nearly 30’ hallway one finds the spacious bedroom ensuite, 2nd bedroom, and additional bath. The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in glass shower and double sink vanity, the second bathroom has a deep soaking tub, and another walk-in shower is found in the 3rd bathroom. Two pullout desks are concealed in wall of storage in the 2nd bedroom. The open chef’s kitchen features granite countertops, a subzero refrigerator, viking gas range, Miele dishwasher, 2 refrigerated drawers built into the extended island, and 2 side-by-side refrigerated wine storage units. 200 Chambers Street is Tribeca’s first luxury high rise development, designed by acclaimed architects Costas Kondylis & Partners and developed by Jack Resnick & Sons. The magnificent double height ceiling lobby is attended 24 hours by the wonderful concierge staff and doormen. Visitors to the building are greeted by white marble floors, chocolate wood walls, a marble concierge desk, accent lighting, and a tranquil waterfall garden. The landscaped rooftop terrace has spectacular views of the Hudson River, Washington Market Park, and the Tribeca Skyline. The 50 foot sky lit indoor lap pool and state of the art 24 hour gym are located on the 7th floor, with the children’s playroom and resident’s lounge on the 6th floor. A resident’s lounge with ample seating has a 60" wall mounted plasma television, wireless internet access, a glass enclosed conference room, and a full pantry kitchen for privately catering. 200 Chambers Street Condominium is a community within itself with wonderful neighbors and The Building Link system to keep residents informed of community events and services. The largest Whole Foods in NYC, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Barnes & Noble are right outside of our Warren Street service entrance door. The apartment will be delivered completely empty & repainted, and private storage is available for rent.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
