Property Description for 50 Lexington Ave, 8-EF

Condo rules at coop prices for this fabulous convertible 3 BR/3 Bath home with 2 balconies - one of them rather large - at one of the most convenient locations in town!

The expansive living area has an open windowed chef's kitchen. The dining area is conveniently located right by the kitchen and living room on the other end. You're surrounded by windows all around! The floor to ceiling ones let Eastern and Southern light in all day.

You can do so much with the enormous master bedroom suite. A king size bed, a reading nook, a desk for an office area all fit in easily. The options are literally endless! Your master bathroom features a massive walk-in closet, and a large soaking tub. How luxurious is that?

The 2nd bedroom is not too shabby either with its own en-suite bath and another walk in closet.

The balcony off the living room is such a treat when you want to relax with your morning coffee or evening cocktail! You're allowed an electric grill on here.

Be sure to check out the alternate floor plan to see where the 3rd bedroom can be created. There are even more possibilities. Please contact me to discuss!

50 Lex is a 24 hr DM building with a gorgeous roof deck offering panoramic views, a gym, sauna and pool along with a large central laundry room. Pets are welcome and washer/dryers meeting certain building rules are allowed with board approval.

Madison Sq Park, Union Sq, Gramercy Park, countless and some of the city's top restaurants, great shopping, several transportation options are all outside your door.

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
