Perched atop the 17th floor, this soaring residence stands out above the rest of Tudor City on all fronts: views, finishes, privacy, and value. Charming casement windows let in brilliant northern light and a sea of clear blue sky throughout the day; while in the evening, one enjoys these same views sparkling in the twilight. The open layout comfortably accommodates a sleeping quarter, sitting area, dining, or workspace. For even more added space, the seating nook can be transformed into a murphy bed. Solid hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, and overall sturdy construction are its prewar attributes. The bathroom is elegantly remodeled with a standup shower, glass sliding doors, and mosaic flooring. The renovated kitchen features a Summit induction stovetop, microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, tiled backsplash, and copious cabinet space. 25 Tudor City is a full-service cooperative that includes a 24-hour doorman, a roof deck with stunning city views, fitness center, laundry room, bicycle room, and a communal garden. Maintenance includes all utilities (electric). Pieds-a-terre, co-purchasing, guarantors, and gifting are all permitted. Subletting permitted after one year of ownership. 80% financing allowed. Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
