The Apartment

Sun-Drenched 2 Bed, 2 Full Bath w/ In-Unit Washer/Dryer and a Balcony, Apartment #3D at the Edgecombe Park Condominium is Washington Heights' rare gem. The unit is flooded with sun from exposures to the South and the West. Conveniently located near the elevator (but without noise from the hallway), you enter into the unit's spacious living, dining, and kitchen area. This part of the unit flows together naturally, creating different zones for different activities, such as cooking or hosting friends. Your un-obstructed views to the west provide fantastic light and make for a warm feeling in the space. The unit is beautifully and meticulously finished with red oak hardwood floors throughout with double-glazed windows & terrace doors to ensure privacy and tranquility. The modern kitchen offers the best in contemporary design, featuring sleek GE Profile Series stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, redwood cabinets and white porcelain tile floors. It comes fully equipped with a huge side-by-side door refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and gas range oven — a chef’s kitchen if ever there was one. Your master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub, finished with calm white ceramic tile floors and walls, outfitted with a TOTO toilet and black Wenge wood vanity beneath a white Kohler basin. The master easily fits a king-sized bed and full furniture suite and has a generously-sized closet. The second room has room for a queen-sized bed and full furniture suite as well, but it would also work as a sunny home office or children’s playroom. The second room also has access to the balcony, which comfortably fits a table and chairs for dining al fresco. Through-wall air conditioning throughout means you'll never need to sacrifice your large windows for cool air over light and views in the summer. Lastly, the second bathroom — a rarity in this building — is windowed for ventilation, has a spacious stall shower, and is also outfitted with a TOTO toilet and Wenge wood vanity with white Kohler basin.

The Building

The Edgecombe Park Condominium is a modern, newly-constructed elevator building with doorman, fitness center, communal furnished roof deck, communal garden, locked bike storage room, and more. There are three private roof terraces also available for purchase. Please feel free to enquire! There is also a full-time super and part time doorman.

The Neighborhood

Conveniently located 2 blocks from New York Presbyterian Hospital; Columbia University's Colleges of Physicians and Dental Medicine, and Schools of Nursing and Public Health, its multiple nearby subway lines include the "1," "C," and the amazingly fast "A" express line (which gets you to Midtown in 15 minutes!). At the top of the block is an entrance to Highbridge Park, with a paved path to the newly-restored High Bridge, which the New York Times called “a scenic and serene cousin of the High Line.” From here, you're also minutes from gorgeous Fort Tryon Park, the Hudson River Greenway, Henry Hudson Parkway, the George Washington Bridge, and Harlem River Drive. You are also just a few blocks away from the huge and historic Highbridge Pool and Jumel Mansion museum and park, which shows outdoor movies in the summer. Right across the Macombs Dam Bridge is Yankee Stadium with the Bronx Night Market Uptown Drive-In Movie and outdoor food court. Edgecombe Park Condominium is located across the street from public elementary and middle schools and is pet friendly

Washington Heights | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Washington Heights, a hilly neighborhood on Manhattan’s northern tip known for its affordable apartments, preserved pre-war buildings, and Dominican food. Some would argue that it's a hidden gem and one of Manhattan's last neighborhoods that has retained its culture. The large swath of land is bordered by Inwood to the north along Dyckman Street, by Harlem to the South along 155th Street, by the Harlem River to the east, and the Hudson River to the West. It is the highest natural point on the Island of Manhattan.

Despite its high residential density, Washington Heights and Inwood have not seen modern housing construction in more than a decade other than relatively small housing units. Midtown Manhattan, Battery Park, TriBeCa, Chelsea, and Hell’s Kitchen, on the other hand, have seen an increase in building. Most of the high rise construction belongs to hospitals such as New York Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center, and educational institutions like Yeshiva University and Boricua College.

Washington Heights has access to amazing green spaces like The Cloisters, Fort Washington Park, Highbridge Park and Fort Tryon Park. There is no shortage of historical landmarks either. Remember General George Washington set up his camp in Washington Heights during the Revolutionary War. He used the elevated neighborhood to his tactical advantage to spot the Redcoats. As history would have it, his plan didn’t work out so well and the British occupied New York for seven years.
