Be the first to live in this newly renovated luxury 3 bedroom light-filled home with a large balcony, sunrise and sunset views, ultra high-end finishes, over-sized sound-proof windows, 11 custom-fitted closets, all in one of the most sought-after concierge buildings on the east side.

This combination home was designed for entertaining, with an expansive living room flooded with light & open views of the Manhattan skyline from the north, south and west.

Entertain guests in the separate large dining area while watching the sunset and the twinkling city lights emerge, or watch the sunrise from the east in 2 king-sized ensuite bedrooms.

The windowed kitchen has been completely renovated with top-of-the-line stainless LG and Bosch appliances including a 4-door fridge with upper French doors, Ann Sacks glass backsplash, maintenance-free Quartz countertops and breakfast bar, and sleek white glass soft-close cabinetry.

The oversized primary suite includes a large sitting area that was previously an additional bedroom, plus an ensuite bathroom that offers finishes rivaling those of the finest NYC hotels. Another king bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a guest powder room provide the same level of luxury. All 3+ bedrooms have sweeping NYC views to lull you to sleep at night.

Thoughtful attention to detail can be found in every corner, including custom Art Deco molding throughout; built-in Murphy bed in the guest bedroom/office; and your own stylish laundry room with full-sized side-by-side W/D, built-in drying racks, a custom-fitted closet and a sink.

Residence 17GH has been completely renovated, including new hardwood floors, easy-to-clean oversized windows, electric blinds throughout, all new plumbing, electrical, heating and central AC.

Enjoy expansive views of sunrise and sunset, bridges, the Roosevelt Island tram, and the famous Chrysler crown. With one of the lowest maintenances among 3 and 4 bedroom apartments in the building, this is truly the best value in NYC!

The Excelsior is pet-friendly (up to 15 lbs.), Pied-A-Terre friendly, has 24-hour concierge and doorman. Note 50% cash required, building with excellent financials and land lease already signed though 2064.

Accessible from your lobby you will find a spa-like health club offering massages and spa services, yoga and Pilates classes, personal trainers, physical therapists, sauna room and a unique heated saltwater swimming pool with a retractable roof that opens to sunshine and fresh air. All without leaving your building!

Sutton Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Sutton Place is usually described with favorable words like charming, cozy, great neighborhood, hidden gem, sanctuary, or even small village inside a big city. Those descriptions aren’t from real estate folks either, they’re from the people that live and work there, so it must be true.

The quiet and upscale neighborhood is more like an enclave. It’s bounded by East 53rd Street to the south, East 59th Street to the North, First Avenue to the west, and the East River to the east. Most residents will tell you that everything you’ll ever need is located in the neighborhood. When it’s time to venture out into the cityscape, Sutton Place is within easy reach to Midtown and cultural attractions like the Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, Central Park and other iconic sites.

Manhattan has always had notable celebrity residents. But for unknown reasons, Sutton Place has had more than its share of superstars over the years. Some of the more iconic celebs include: Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, Freddie Mercury, Sigourney Weaver, Joan Crawford, Michael Jackson and sister Latoya (Just for one summer).

Sutton Place is named after Effingham B. Sutton, a shipping merchant and entrepreneur. After hitting it big in the California gold rush, Sutton built brownstones along East 57th and East 58th streets with aspirations of making the section more residential. Poverty and crime dashed his dreams. The street gangs that hung out along the dead-ends and cul-de-sacs added to the neighborhood’s decay. Sutton was about to give up on his development endeavors but the Vanderbilt’s and the Morgan’s showed up in the 1920s and transformed the neighborhood. It soon became a wealthy enclave.
