Property Description for 407 East 12th Street, 4-RNW

PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR A VIRTUAL APPT AND 3D TOUR. A stunning and modern two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom penthouse condominium with three outdoor spaces in the heart of the East Village.  Light pours in from nearly every direction of this bespoke, mint-condition triplex complete with two separate entrances and loaded with nearly every bell and whistle imaginable. Upon entry to the lower level, one is immediately struck by the incredible open kitchen showcasing beautiful custom millwork, a gorgeous island with a butcher block countertop that doubles as a large dining table, appliances from Wolf, SubZero, and Miele, and lighting by Tom Dixon.  The lower level also is comprised of a living area with four windows and a handsome powder room fitted with a walnut sink and brass fixtures.  The dramatic staircase leads to the master level complete with a spacious bedroom, two fitted closets (including a windowed walk-in), an ensuite marble bathroom, and a terrace.  A private roof deck with an outdoor built-in kitchen featuring a Wolf grill and SubZero refrigerator awaits on the upper level of this immaculate home.  With soaring, beamed ceilings and an additional skylit bonus loft, the second bedroom also has its own terrace and an ensuite windowed bathroom with radiant heated floors, rain shower, and fixtures by Duravit and Toto. An unbelievable amount of storage is throughout, and a washer/dryer is an added convenience. This townhouse-like apartment is wired with a smart system that is easy to use and can be tailored to any lifestyle. Invisible speakers throughout, multiple zones of Sonos, a mirror TV in the living room, and an outdoor TV on the roof deck can all be controlled wirelessly with Savant.  Automated lights and shades from Lutron allow you to wake up exactly the way you'd like and leave your home knowing that everything has been turned off.  A powerful wireless solution allows for coverage in all areas of the residence. 407 East 12th Street is a boutique condo with an elevator, lovely interior courtyard with fountain, resident super, video intercom, roof deck, storage, and bicycle room. In addition to some of NYC's hottest restaurants, craft cocktail lounges, nightspots, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods being steps away, several modes of transportation including the L train around the corner, the 4/5/6 and N/R/W/Q trains in Union Square, and multiple busses are easily accessible, offering unparalleled lifestyle and convenience.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
