Property Description for 1139 Prospect Ave, 1-A

Do you want room to roam? Are you tired of cookie cutter apartments? If so, this Windsor Terrace apartment is for you. Here you'll find a STUNNING and EXPANSIVE, two bed, 1.5 bath DUPLEX condo, that feels like a house, with a layout that provides many options for you to dwell well. It's quite possible to turn this into a 3+ bedroom condo - see the alternate floor plan. And, you'll enjoy all the amenities of condo living here.  Enter to find a loft-like open floor plan. There is a huge living room space, an open kitchen and a dining area - there is room for a huge dining room table. It's great for entertaining. This space is made for living large!  The renovated kitchen is gorgeous and has tons of counter space and cabinetry, with a faceted marble backsplash, all stainless appliances including an under counter microwave, as well as a separate wide island counter that comfortably seats three. The primary bedroom is huge at 22' x 15'4" and has a wall of closets-it's quite possible to divide this into two rooms. The second bedroom is also quite spacious and has great storage too.  Both baths are lovely and have designer tiles and fixtures. The main bath has a double sink and a soaking tub. The half bath is also quite large and has a laundry closet within. Need spaces to zoom? You can add one (or more) in every room - there is space aplenty! You could also add an office area in the hallway downstairs - there is plenty of room for another setup.  Located within the Prospect Park Mews, a gated 55-unit condo community that is professionally managed and impeccably maintained. It's pet-friendly and has low common charges and taxes. It has a landscaped, common garden and a newly renovated roof-deck along with gated private parking which currently has a short wait list. Situated in prime Windsor Terrace just two blocks from Prospect Park, it's close to all amenities, as well as many cafes and restaurants, including Krupa Grocery, Della's, Le Paddock, Cena and Rhythm & Booze. Nearby, F/G trains provide rapid transportation anywhere in Brooklyn or Manhattan. Contact me to schedule your private appointment!

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
