Property Description for 29 East 10th Street, LOFT-2

NO FEE — OWNER PAYS AGENT FEE (Co-brokers CYOF) FURNISHED OR UNFURNISHED Renovated, Full-Floor Condo Loft w/Flexible Plan, Office, & Bar Once in a rare while, a truly exceptional home graces these pages, turning heads and melting hearts. This is that home. Lovingly renovated from top to bottom and from side to side, most everything inside of this luxurious condo loft has been reinvented, re-crafted, and renewed. Sprawling and well-proportioned, this special residence exemplifies the art of luxurious loft living. Here, form keenly melds with function, history blends gracefully with the present, and a bright, smart, handsome home with a fantastically flexible floor plan is the beautiful result. Potentially able to capture three or four sizable bedrooms (see potential alternate plan), this inspiring residence was designed as a remarkably scaled, wonderfully wide (~25 feet) two bedroom home -- a voluminous, well-crafted loft with space to spare. A keyed-elevator ushers you into this rare full-floor condo loft's private landing. This entrance flows flawlessly into the over-scaled Living and Dining rooms -- perfectly proportioned spaces ideal for entertaining and refined living – and boasting artful treetop and streetscape views of the coveted block below from its floor-to-ceiling wall of windows. A handsome new bar (with dedicated beverage fridges) is a marvelous use of the bonus space off of the Living Room. The soaring ceilings (~12 feet high), custom lighting and exposed antique brickwork provide the loft with compelling grandeur –- perfectly ready for the art enthusiast. The newly renovated cook’s kitchen – with its big, perfectly practical, stone-capped prep/dining island, ample stone counters, abundant custom cabinet space, vented range, and Subzero refrigerator, cleverly serves the loft in two important ways: The attractive space is a striking anchor for comfortable entertaining, while also artfully delineating the public spaces from the beautiful private bedroom wings beyond. En route to the bedrooms is a big, well-crafted hallway. On one side of this grand hall is more gallery space, and on the other side is a floor-to-ceiling wall of integrated custom closets -- and a bonus hidden "attic" for bonus storage needs. The guest bedroom is an elegant space with custom designer shelves and a deep, full height closet wall. This peaceful Bedroom is served by a large, full, renovated marble bath. The master Bedroom is a sight to behold - a luxurious oasis that is both comfortable and inspiring. This tranquil, king-sized room offers an en suite marble bath, a custom designer walk-in closet, and a big bonus en suite den/office with a wall of custom bookshelves. This glorious condo loft with three exposures has multi-zoned Central AC throughout, its own washer/dryer (vented), and is well situated in its pet-friendly, boutique, 7-unit condominium (formerly a 19th Century Feather Factory). Here, among the historic, fabled, tree-lined Village streets of the coveted Gold Coast -– and a sweet, short stroll from nearby Washington Square Park and Union Square Greenmarket -- a plethora of cultural, dining, and shopping destinations are at your doorstep. Once in a rare while, a real head-turner and heart-melter comes along. This lovingly customized condo loft is your exceptional opportunity to live artfully.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
