Property Description for 443 Greenwich Street, 4-E

Welcome to 443 Greenwich! Apartment 4E is a 4,526 square foot duplex with four beds, four baths and a separate marble encased powder room.

A key-locked elevator opens into a marble tiled foyer that guides you into the great room, which boasts four oversized north-facing windows. The historical design elements of this converted prewar building are incorporated throughout the unit with reclaimed wooden beams. Staying in line with that theme, there are wide plank solid white oak floors throughout.

A 2-inch-thick single slab of Calacatta marble over the eat-in island catches the eye upon entering this impressive, open chef's kitchen. There is custom wood cabinetry by Christopher Peacock, a 48-inch-wide vented six-burner Wolf range with a griddle/grill section, a pot filler and dual ovens. Plus, side by side 36-inch-wide subzero fridge and freezer, a hidden Gagganeou wine fridge with storage for 70 bottles, a built-in Miele coffee maker, convection microwave and two dishwashers. To round out the area there are three east-facing windows that bring in the perfect amount of natural light. The fourth floor also features a large bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a windowed half bath and a laundry room with oversized machines, a sink and custom cabinetry.

Heading up the wood encased stairs to the fifth floor, you will find yourself by the third and fourth bedrooms. One of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom and the other is just steps away. Both bathrooms are encased in marble and have east-facing windows with shower/tub capabilities and gold fixtures throughout.

Down the hall is the north facing master bedroom. If you like closets then you will love the windowed walk in closets and second oversized walk in that are completely built out. The master bathroom has Italian Calacatta marble slab walls, radiant heated floors, two sets of bronze faucets that stream down one long sink, a separate wc with bidet, a freestanding egg tub, a glass-enclosed steam shower with overhead rain dome, a body sprayer, a stone bench for relaxing and an east facing window.

Additional features include central air conditioning, a Crestron system and custom shades plus built out closets in every room. Please note that this property can be delivered as a three bedroom with den or four bedroom.

443 Greenwich Street is a conversion of a landmarked industrial building by Metroloft and CetraRuddy. The LEED-certified building is a full-service condominium with 24-hour doorman & concierge and a live-in resident manager. Amenities include a 70-foot long indoor swimming pool with Turkish baths, a 5,000-square-foot landscaped roof and a central courtyard with lush flowers and trees. Additionally, the building hosts a state-of-the-art fitness center with private yoga/dance studios, a children's playroom, wine room and direct access into the building through the underground garage with valet parking for all of the residences at no extra cost.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
