Property Description for 427 East 12th Street, 3-B

This sleek ultra-modern East Village condominium checks every box: open floor plan, chef's kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, great natural light, private balcony, in unit washer & dryer, king size bedroom, spa like bathroom, abundant closet space, a large walk-in storage unit that comes with the unit, and yes, more outdoor space - a beautifully planted and furnished roof deck with BBQ. Entering the home, concrete floors with epoxy finishes set the downtown industrial vibe; reminding one that though you have entered a luxurious modern residence, do not forget that you are living in the epicenter of downtown culture and creativity. Floor to ceiling double pane windows fill the home with warm natural light while keeping it pin-drop quiet. Off the living room is a spacious private balcony that faces north toward the rear of the building. Only few to the building, this is truly an exclusive outdoor paradise that provides a serene setting in the heart of arguably downtown's most vibrant neighborhood. The custom designed chef's kitchen is finished with walnut veneer and satin lacquer cabinetry, Caesar stone countertops, back painted glass and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances by Fischer & Paykel. The bedroom is king size with tranquil views and great closet space. The bathroom features an oversized deep soaking bathtub, glass enclosed frameless shower, custom built vanity, and Duravit fixtures throughout. Built in 2014, 427 East 12th Street is a luxury boutique condominium designed with a combination of brick, glass and aluminum faade. The building has a prime East Village location, West of Avenue A. It is one of the very few condominiums in the neighborhood. Steps to Tomkins Square Park, its year round Greenmarket, diverse retail including antique, jewelry, vintage, record stores and an amazing culinary and nightlife scene. East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
