Property Description for 212 Fifth Ave, 7-A

This is an extraordinary opportunity to procure the most desirable lower "A" line home in one of the most sought after and exclusive addresses in the city - 212 Fifth Avenue.

Apartment 7A has impressive windows which provide uninterrupted views of Madison Square Park from this magnificent 3 BR, 3.5 bath residence featuring 3008 square feet of well-proportioned space and soaring ceilings. A gracious entrance foyer and 18' gallery lead to the impressive 37' x 18' Great Room which successfully combines both traditional and contemporary aesthetics. Adjacent to the Great Room is the eat-in kitchen, a chef's dream, with custom ash millwork, calacatta gold counters and top of the range integrated Gaggenau appliances, a Bosch dishwasher, vented kitchen exhaust, Blanco Steelart sinks, a 43 bottle wine cooler and garbage disposal. Like the living room, the 20' master bedroom has high ceilings and tremendous views of the park and is complimented by a 19' spa-like bath with double sinks, a freestanding Corian Lacava tub and separate shower and enclosed WC. There are radiant heated floors in all baths. The sumptuous choice of fluted Carrara marble walls, Thassos marble mosaic flooring and sycamore anigre vanity cabinets in the master bath all add sophistication and elegance rarely seen today. Completing the master suite is a custom-built and spacious walk-in closet. The generous second and third bedrooms are both delivered with unique en-suite baths. Additionally, there is a convenient powder room off of the entrance foyer featuring stormy grey travertine marble with noir St. Laurent stone trim. Comfort is assured in this home with multi-zoned heat and air, a vented kitchen and bathrooms plus smart home technology. One of the guest bedrooms has been thoughtfully reconfigured with pocket doors opening into the living room and can serve as a library or 3rd bedroom depending on need. This room benefits from superb park views through lacquered 8 foot pocket doors.

The interior finishes have been created with an exacting eye to detail and include book matched marble floors in the entry foyer, solid Chevron oak flooring and custom cabinetry. This owner upgraded 7A with Level 5 finish on the walls, extra crown molding details, water filtration systems and bespoke closets through-out. Electronic black-out and solar shades were also installed in each room. The apartment is featured in House and Garden UK, April 2020 Issue.

212 Fifth Avenue is an important and historic pre-war condo conversion on 26th Street and Fifth Avenue overlooking Madison Square Park. The building location is perfectly situated between uptown and downtown, eastside and westside for ease of accessing all the cultural, epicurean and shopping delights that New York City has to offer. Apartment 7A was the first park front apartment to sell at this iconic Fifth Avenue address so the current owner had the first choice of any apartment being offered in the building. Building amenities include a stylishly designed lobby with attentive 24 hour doormen, porters and concierge. There is convenient cold storage for resident deliveries. Additionally one will find a fully equipped and spacious state of the art fitness center with adjoining golf simulator, yoga and Pilates studio and treatment room. Cheerful playroom, separate game room, screening room, catering kitchen, board room and bike storage complete this luxurious lifestyle experience.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
