Property Description for 71 Nassau Street, 10-A

PRISTINE TWO BEDROOM HOME WITH SPACIOUS ROOMS AND GREAT LAYOUT.

Upon arrival into the foyer, notice the window on the right and large coat closet straight ahead. As you flow into the main area, to the left is the gourmet chef's kitchen. The living and dining areas (26' X 12'9) have four windows that get southern light; this area is open to the kitchen, and perfect for entertaining. The generous size second bedroom (14'8 X 13'6), can easily accommodate a king size bed or bunk beds with a play area. The en-suite master bedroom (16'4 X 11'9) is a quiet sanctuary, and gets light from three north facing windows, and there are two huge double wide closets outfitted with custom organization systems. The soothing spa master bathroom features a jumbo walk-in shower, and a large vanity with under counter storage. The centrally located second bathroom has an extra deep soaking tub. The apartment features 10ft. ceilings, white oak solid plank flooring, tall solid core doors with mirrors, and double-pane and sound retardant windows - ten windows through out. Cleverly concealed in the front hallway closet, is a Miele washer and dryer. In 2005, this Beaux Arts office building was converted to a boutique condominium by Shamir Shah, and has 16 floors and 52 units; there are just two other units on the tenth floor. Amenities at the Croft Building include 24hr friendly doormen, a fitness center, and a breathtaking rooftop deck with a rain-shower, where you can enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of downtown New York City.

Seaport District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Seaport District sits between the Financial District to the south and the Brooklyn Bridge to the north. The original Seaport designation was limited to the streets east of Water Street from Fletcher Street to Dover Street and incorporated the actual Seaport and the piers. But no more. Today, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded westward toward Park Row and include a surge of new developments in the area around Pace University and City Hall Park.

This is not your father’s Seaport. It is no longer a commercial hub and the seafood industry, which operated out of the port for nearly two hundred years, has been displaced. The older low-rise buildings that line these cobblestoned streets have been repositioned, the SouthBridge towers complex to the east of Water Street has gone free market, multiple commercial buildings have been converted to residential usage and new gleaming residential towers are rising on the site of the iconic J&R Music World which once lined the east side of Park Row.

Still, the Seaport is a small neighborhood, particularly quaint just north of Beekman Street. The streets are dominated by century-old warehouses and maritime buildings which gives the neighborhood its overt character. The Brooklyn Bridge, on its northern edge, looms in the backdrop.
