Property Description for 641 Fifth Ave, 42-DE

Welcome to apartment 42D/E at the world-class Olympic Tower, a sprawling, high floor, 3 bedroom, 4-and-a-half bath residence offering over 3,500 square feet of sun-drenched space with postcard views through floor-to-ceiling windows over Central Park, the East River and iconic Manhattan landmarks, from the Empire State Building to the Freedom Tower, among others.

With massive hallways and room proportions throughout, this home offers an unrivaled quality of living and entertaining. The double sized living room overlooking Central Park is the perfect setting for grand-scale entertaining, as is the enormous dining room which frames the picturesque skyline to the South. The bedrooms are all equally regal, each perfectly proportioned and featuring abundant closets and en-suite baths. There is a double kitchen, flawlessly outfitted for personal use or formal catering. The ceilings are high, and everywhere throughout this home there are expansive walls calling out for your art. The customary luxuries you would expect from a property of this quality are of course here as well, including solid wood floors, central air conditioning and your own laundry.

The prestigious Olympic Tower is one of the city's most important and desired condominium buildings. Designed by world-renowned architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill as commissioned by Aristotle Onassis, Olympic Tower was immediately regarded as the Fifth Avenue address to have by the global nec-plus-ultra, and it commands the same loyalty today. Located on what is arguably the best corner of Midtown Manhattan, it is located immediately opposite landmarks such as St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center, at the center of Manhattan's finest shopping, theatre, concerts, museums and dining and only blocks from Central Park. It offers its residents the highest and most discreet level of service 24/7, provided by an impeccably-trained staff. There are full-time doormen, concierges and elevator attendants, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness room and valet parking. Regrettably, pets are not permitted.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
