If you are the kind of person who doesn't settle for anything less, then you know that your Beekman area home says a lot about you. As you enter the building, the grandeur of the lobby and the professionalism of the concierge desk will be appreciated by both you and your guests. Of course, the doorman will greet you before you ascend in the elevator to your new home with endless views south and west including the Chrysler Building and the river! As you cross the threshold into your large 17' gallery, you pass your new windowed kitchen and enter your grand scale main salon-a full 32' by 16' space displaying floor to ceiling enormous windows with views of the new United Nations Gardens and the East River. Simply put-you'll love the stunning magical views that capture the four seasons and may be enjoyed every day. Did I mention the two oversized master bedrooms with closets galore? You'll find more to like here than ever before. The commodious corner master bedroom has bath en-suite and three closets. Surrender to the views as few residences come close. Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
