Property Description for 500 Park Ave, 28-B

500 Park Tower is a stunning ultra- luxury condo in a prime location off of billionaire's row; right on the corner of Park and 59th Street-on the border of midtown and the upper east side. Apartment 28B with over 2000 square feet has sweeping city views east and north and excellent western views of the southern end of Central Park and Central Park South. This triple mint home has a large entry foyer, which leads to a light and bright oversized corner living and dining room of close to 40 feet in length along Park Avenue. The living and dining has a coffered ceiling with scene lighting and limestone floors. There are two built in wall unit cabinets @ the far end of the living room which creates a space which could easily be a third bedroom or library. The chef's kitchen with top of the line appliances has a breakfast area with two large windows with an upper east side view. A generous powder room is located off of the hall corridor. The oversized corner master bedroom suite with stunning views of the Park has a beautifully designed walk in dressing room/closet and master bath. The windowed spa like bath has a soaking tub and large shower and separate toilet room. The large second bedroom has a wall of cabinets/ closets and a windowed ensuite marble bathroom. 500 Park Tower was designed by James Polshek and was honored with a national award from the American Institute of Architects for outstanding architecture. The building is noted for its clean cut modern lines, incised windows and asymmetrical massing. Further, the building is a rare example of contextual design that complements a modern landmark: the Pepsico headquarters building designed by SOM in 1960. The condominium offers the finest amenities: full time doormen, concierge, roof garden and private storage. 500 Park Tower is now more than ever, one of the most up-scale, sought after neighborhoods in Manhattan, surrounded by elegant shopping, fine restaurants and minutes from Central Park. Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
