Property Description for 415 East 52nd Street, 9-EC

Spacious Junior Four has high ceilings and expansive south-facing windows. The windowed dining area off the living room can be turned into a second bedroom.

This gallery-like apartment makes it easy to seat ten for dinner, screen a movie with friends or hang your art collection. The separation of public and private space means you can finish your novel in peace while someone binges on Game of Thrones in the living room. If you need to accommodate a home office or a peloton bike, that's possible, too! Generous closet space will enable you to live clutter free.

The kitchen has its original metal cabinets, which are sought after by kitchen designers, as they can be dipped at an auto body shop. The bathroom was updated about ten years ago.

This full service building is beautifully maintained and highly serviced. Pets are permitted at the discretion of the board. There are three roof decks, a fully-equipped gym, a children's play room, a discounted garage, bicycle storage and a laundry room.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
