Property Description for 225 East 57th Street, 17-A

It's easy to spot the winners! You'll love this intelligently renovated home which is now a two bedroom... and you haven't sacrificed having a distinct and separate dining area. More great news! The maintenance includes utilities. Get two bedrooms for the price of one! And let's not forget a big plus.... Imagine your 35 foot terrace that runs the full width of the apartment where you will enjoy endless views that clear the buildings over the peaceful garden below. Even more... cross the threshold and you will be swept into this extra wide and airy space as your new living room is refreshing filled with light, air and quiet.

The wall of windows further expands your commodious living room as it s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s the space onto your very own private terrace. Yes, you'll love this quiet oasis in the heart of midtown close to transportation uptown or downtown and cross town too. Picture this... it's Sunday morning and there you are, cup of java in hand on your own serene terrace. Invite a few friends to enjoy the sunset ...there's plenty of space. The kitchen... who doesn't love a renovated fully equipped kitchen? Enjoy Sub Zero refrigeration, all new appliances and stainless steel backsplash, of course. Simply stated, it is all here! The oh so modern bathroom is exquisitely renovated too with meticulously chosen floating porcelain sink and raised off the floor contemporary-style below cabinet which exposes more of the floor for a sleeker larger look. There is a fabulous rain shower head as well . All of the faucets carry the contemporary theme too. The master bedroom is H_U_G_E. Unlike so many bedrooms, the closets do not eat up the space as they are set in and flush with the walls. Behind a French sliding door, the second office/bedroom or guest room with closet is appreciable in size as well. Crown molding perfectly unites your walls and ceilings. Plenty of customized ample closets including built-ins below the bedroom windows. Brand new floors have been installed just for you. Your new home has it all!

Don't you agree that your home begins the moment you enter your lobby? The tastefully done entrance with soaring ceilings create an aura of the grandness to Harridge House. Even as you leave the elevator you will surely appreciate the wider than average, well lit hallways that are in mint condition.

Success starts with being the first one in so call me now.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
