Property Description for 400 East 52nd Street, 6-AB

SUCCESS TODAY STARTS WITH BEING THE FIRST ONE IN SO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT NOW! Tired of empty promises? This fine home has three real well proportioned bedrooms. Don't you agree that your home begins the moment you approach your new building? This magnificent, top architect of the time, Emery Roth building is located on a private cul-de-sac and is part of the prestigious Southgate houses built in the late 20s and 30s by Bing and Bing. You'll love your canopied entrance and you'll surely appreciate the rarely available beautiful planted garden. After you are greeted by your doorman, you'll pass through the grand yet intimate lobby that suggests a rich history. Ascend the elevator to your new home. As you pass through the threshold you will immediately be struck by the large and lovely entry foyer where the current owner has intelligently raised and arched the ceiling creating a soaring and romantic experience. Honey hued wood strip floors draw you into this homey space. You'll love the raised dining room outside of your new windowed kitchen as well as the commodious drop living room clearly defining the areas. There's even a separate and distinct windowed home office too! Your new alluring main room is large - 22.5' by almost 14' wide. The well balanced beamed ceiling will remind you of a gilded age and resonates prewar charm. Your new windowed kitchen boasts Sub Zero refrigeration. There's even a wonderful breakfast room where you may enjoy that first morning cup of coffee. It's so difficult to find homes with legal washers and dryers - well, you've found it here. Enjoy an outside vented full size stacked private W/D in your own home. There are three full baths and your master bedroom has a large bath en suite, of course. Every once in awhile you come across a rare opportunity to invest in your future. Southgate is a pet friendly building with resident manager. Second residences are permitted. Utilities are included in your monthly maintenance. Southgate boasts some great amenities. Please note there is a special Capital Assessment that ends in June 2017.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
