Property Description for 1324 Jefferson Ave

Welcome to 1324 Jefferson Ave, a newly renovated ultra-chic two family oasis in the tree-lined heart of Bushwick. This nearly 20 foot wide, 2,565 square feet home is configured as a loft-like 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bath owners duplex and an income generating 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath garden simplex, with a lower level recreation space, and multiple outdoor spaces throughout this entire, expansive home. With all new mechanicals, roof, appliances, and building elements- this extraordinary home has every single aspect in place for turn-key living.

Fully renovated from roof to basement, and creatively and meticulously designed by a noted interior designer, this home is the perfect blend of urban sophistication and bucolic tranquility. From the moment you enter you feel as though you have been transported to your own private sanctuary.

With copious curb appeal highlighted by bay windows, the contrast painted charcoal and slate grey faade beckons from behind the wrought iron gate, shaded by a canopy of leafy green trees. You ascend 9 gentle steps up the handsome front stoop and enter the open plan 19 x 45 foot living space that has been thoughtfully designed to evoke the feeling of a TriBeCa loft.

Upon arrival, you will find an inviting living space centered around a new gas fireplace, soaring ceilings and wide plank white oak flooring, and floating oak and steel stairway to the upper level. The generous formal dining area provides the space and flexibility for large holiday gatherings or quiet meals at home prepared in your massive chef's kitchen with floor to ceiling windows overlooking your garden, stainless steel appliances and an extra-large quartz island with seating for four. For year-round comfort, central AC has been installed throughout- and a powder room for guests completes the parlor level of this beautiful home.

Open up the massive glass doors and an inviting deck with gas grill and entertaining area becomes an extension of this dream home. Beyond you will find arguably the most well landscaped garden in the neighborhood with handsome slate pavers, custom lighting and irrigation, raised vegetation beds, and mature specimen plantings-the perfect escape for sun-filled afternoons and evening dinners under the stars.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, all centered around a loft hangout space with soaring 12 foot ceilings, dramatic skylights and whitewashed exposed brick walls. The luxurious, full-width master bedroom with discreet home office and custom closets has its own large terrace overlooking the garden. An indulgent master bath makes this the perfect space for at-home peace and relaxation. Master and secondary baths are equipped with radiant heated floors and classic modern fixtures and tilework. A dedicated laundry room on the bedroom floor is ideal for added convenience.

On the garden level you will find a large 2 bedroom 1.5 bath rental unit upgraded to the same high standard as the upstairs duplex. Boasting a new washer/dryer, central A/C, two bedrooms overlooking a private patio, a loft-like great room/open kitchen, and a charming lounge with bay window. This is the perfect opportunity to bring in consistent rental income, or use as additional living space.

The piece-de-resistance is the grand scale finished basement which is the ideal home fitness space, media/game room, and features high ceilings and unlimited storage. This home truly has it all.

Ideally located near the Halsey & Wilson L and Halsey & Gates J M Z. This is a thriving neighborhood with amazing amenities like Houdini Pizza Kitchen, Mission Chinese, L'Imprimerie Bakery and Cafe, and beautiful Irving Square Park just steps away!

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
