Property Description for 250 Mercer Street, C-318

Come home to own elegantly designed loft with soaring 15' ceilings located in one of downtown Manhattan's most sought after neighborhoods.

Be greeted by your full-time doorman in the newly renovated lobby and take the elevator up to your sunny, loft apartment. Prepare a meal in the newly renovated chef's kitchen that features stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and wine cooler. If you are having friends over, there is plenty of room for everyone at the table in the dining alcove located just off the kitchen.

The extra large living space with towering ceilings is a comfortable place to unwind and catch up on your favorite tv shows or read a book. When it is time to retire for the evening, head upstairs to your private sleeping area. Unlike other floors in the building, this unit on the third floor offers higher ceilings that allow you to stand in the lofted sleeping area making it much more like a real bedroom. The loft also includes a large walk in closet for storage and enough room for a dresser and other furniture.

The apartment also features a newly renovated bath with a deep soaking tub, three additional closets downstairs and gallery foyer.

250 Mercer Street is one of Noho's classic pre-war loft buildings and a dream come true for anyone looking to live in the village. With a 24 hour doorman, beautifully outfitted roof deck and garden and on-site laundry, it's the perfect place to call home. What separates this co-op from the rest is also the flexible, condo-style sublet policy. This extremely liberal co-op also allows pets, pieds-a-terre, co-purchasing, and guarantors. Ideally located in the center of trendy NoHo between West 3rd and 4th streets, 250 Mercer is a short distance to Washington Square Park and only blocks from some of the city’s best shopping and restaurants in SoHo, Nolita, and West Village.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
