Property Description for 221 West 82nd Street, 7-C

MINT RENOVATED, MOVE-IN READY HEAD-TURNER
DOUBLE CORNER, BRIGHT, FRESH BEAUTY w/WASHER/DRYER
SUN-SPLASHED & QUIET: SOUNDPROOFING IN NEIGHBORING WALLS AND BEDROOM
FULL SERVICE, EMORY ROTH BUILDING w/ NEW PLANTED ROOF DECK
NO PETS PER THE OWNER.
You don’t need to renovate. You don’t have to eat in your living room. You don’t need to open up a tired old kitchen. You don’t need to use the building’s laundry room. You don’t have to pine away about creating an office or guest space. You don’t have to leave home for fresh air.
Here — in this rare trophy beauty — the full mint renovation has been done for you. You have a full, separate dining room; a gorgeous, open, designer cook’s kitchen; a bonus office/guest space, and a new planted roof deck which gives you a bright, rooftop retreat.
The welcoming entry hall leads to the foyer, a sizable gallery with a more than a trio of closets — a perfect spot to remove jackets before entering the redesigned home that unfolds before you.
The large, comfy, deep living room has big, sunshiny South-facing windows, and is ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The separate but open dining room is well-scaled, and offers big East-facing windows. The open, windowed, designer cook’s kitchen is a stand-out for all the best reasons: The porcelain octagonal kitchen floor tiles were imported from Italy, the fridge is Fischer Paykel, the dishwasher is Bosch, the range is Wolf, the ample (and super-durable) counters are Dekton – the newest tech in counters and literally unstainable, the custom cabinets are Signature from Bilotta, there’s a built-in water filter, and the washer/dryer is by Bosch.
The Southeast corner bedroom is separated from the office/guest room with a soundproof wall and features a soundproof door and soundproof window, offering ultimate privacy and silence. The larger corner bedroom is big and peaceful and offers large North facing windows. These well-planned rooms are served by a full, classic windowed bath with vintage soaking tub and tiles, and a separate shower. The home also features a windowed half bath.
Throughout this large, stylish, heartwarming home are handsomely restored original doors, restored period detail down to the hinges, generous closet space, high ceilings, gorgeous stripped steel front and service doors, all rebuilt original vintage locks, corresponding light switches, and soundproofing on the neighboring walls.
With a simple board application with vastly less paperwork and hassle than other applications and —NO BOARD INTERVIEW — this move-right-in home is a stone’s throw to Central and Riverside Parks, tons of transportation options, and “braggable” proximity to most every area dining, shopping, and cultural destination (one block from Zabar’s!). Well-perched in its well-run, pet-friendly, Pre-War, full service, Emory Roth designed building, life here is easy and fun.
Welcome to flexibility - welcome to space - welcome to easy style and elegance. Welcome home.

Upper West Side | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Bracketed on its east and west borders by massive city parks, the Upper West Side (UWS) is known for its greenery, stately and elegant townhomes, safe streets and great schools, all of which make it a very desirable neighborhood for families. The UWS has maintained its community feeling, making it attractive to young professionals and retirees, both of whom want a sense of belonging in the place they call home.

Here you’ll find many apartment buildings, especially those along Central Park West. Historic architecture abounds, anchored by four luxury co-ops - the San Remo, Majestic, Century and Eldorado apartments - all of which have two towers on their interiors. They were built in the 1930s and their design was predicated on a 1929 building code that imposed a height limit on residences facing the street. There are also impressive row houses near Riverside Drive throughout the W 70 and 80 Streets. Above the 90s, you will find smaller buildings where walk-ups are very reasonably priced.

There are several world-class museums and venues dedicated to the performing arts. Plentiful dining can be found in the UWS. You will find everything from quaint Jewish delis serving up bagels and a schmear to sophisticated fine dining that has earned multiple Michelin stars, and everything you could possibly want in between. There is also abundant shopping and a vibrant nightlife.
