Property Description for 571 Putnam Ave

Welcome to 571 Putnam Avenue – a three-story, three-family home nestled on the corner of a classic treelined street in Stuyvesant-Heights. Built in 2005, and completely gut renovated in 2019, this building features three 3-Bedroom/2 Bathroom apartments; each offering spacious layouts, incredible light, beautifully finished kitchens/bathrooms and three on-site parking spots. The building itself is a large 20’ x 52’ ft. and stands on an ideal 25’ x 100’ ft. corner lot with 1,875 square feet of additional buildable space. There is also a full basement (8' 4" ceiling height) where the simple addition of bike storage, laundry and/or storage cages could easily increase the building’s NOI. With convenient access to the A/C trains at Kingston-Throop Avenues, plus an array of incredible bars, restaurants, and more throughout the neighborhood (Odd Fox, Peaches Hothouse, Brooklyn Beso, and L’Antagoniste just to name a few), 571 Putnam is an incredible investment opportunity for those looking to add to, or start, their Brooklyn portfolio. *Building Setup Available Upon Request.*

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
