Property Description for 1328 Bushwick Ave

This nearly 19 ft wide two-family townhouse has been completely renovated and comes with parking! (Note: Sellers are installing split system a/c and stairs from the upper duplex to the backyard). The house is currently set up as a 3 bed, 2 bath upper duplex with a 1.5 bedroom garden rental that has a very useable basement. The owner's duplex has 10 foot ceilings and is flooded with sunlight. The kitchen is the highlight of this floor with custom cabinets and marble countertops and backsplash. Dark stained maple flooring throughout and a stylishly renovated, windowed black and white bath. Stairs can be added to the garden from this level should you so desire. The top floor has three spacious bedrooms and one large bath with double vanity. The king sized master has a reading or office nook and a walk in closet. Plenty of storage throughout as well as a washer & dryer hook up. The garden unit can be used as a 2 bedroom, 1 bath and has access to the garden, a full basement, and a washer dryer hook up. Projected "covid" rent is approximately $3,300/month. With art galleries, coffee shops and new Michelin rated restaurants popping up nearby, this Bushwick location is only getting better! The J, Z, and L trains are just minutes away.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
