Property Description for 111 Fourth Ave, 5-M

WATCH FILM TOUR & 3D VIRTUAL TOUR! LOFT SEEKERS WELCOME HOME. Enter an open and expansive loft with soaring 13’ CEILINGS with a full wall of 10' high and 16’ long NE facing industrial STEEL CASEMENT WINDOWS bathing the entire space in soft natural light - immediately evoking that “wow factor” as you walk in. Sheer blinds and ELECTRIC BLACKOUT SHADES provide a seamless balance of natural light and style, while the CENTRAL AC offers perfect temperature control. The kitchen and bathroom has been reimagined with contemporary finishes and irresistible style. The result of the renovation is a timeless design that is inviting and promotes a lifestyle change for many years to come. This is truly a very special loft oasis retreat from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant surrounding Village neighborhood. The CHEF’S KITCHEN was designed by AWARD-WINNING DESIGNER Henrybuilt,”a cult favorite among contemporary-design enthusiasts seeking handcrafted minimalism,” (Wall Street Journal). Open shelves and a neutral, linear backsplash make the space feel larger, while a tall pantry and an enclosed cabinet for the microwave, increases storage space. A peninsula wrapped in a rich WALNUT WOOD ties the kitchen to the living space and allows for conversation while cooking. STAINLESS STEEL appliances including a BOSCH DISHWASHER, LIEBHERR REFRIGERATOR, and energy efficient electric GE CAFE SERIES STOVE and ample storage space create a perfect space for cooking alongside open entertainment space. The existing grey floor tile was buffed to give it a polished concrete-like finish, adding warmth and contrast to natural wood accents. To heighten the character throughout the home, custom-designed molding has been built into all existing doors. The bathroom was re-designed to create a soothing and cozy oasis with DEEP SOAKING TUB. The soft lines of the hardware and organic shapes found in the custom-designed mirror and wall sconces pair with clean subway tiled walls, while black and white GRAPHIC CONCRETE TILED FLOORS add a hint of playfulness. Beside the HOME OFFICE NOOK, a clean BRUSHED STEEL STAIRCASE leads up to a spacious LOFTED BEDROOM area with a FULL WALL OF CLOSETS and an additional WALK-IN CLOSET for ample clothing storage. Centrally located in a PRIME DOWNTOWN LOCATION at the crossroads of Union Square, East, West and Greenwich Village, enjoy a FULL SERVICE BUILDING with amenities including a FULL-TIME DOORMAN, resident super, LAUNDRY ON EVERY FLOOR, STORAGE, bike room, GARAGE, and TWO BEAUTIFULLY LANDSCAPED AND FURNISHED ROOF DECKS offering sweeping views of the city. Originally built in 1920 for The International Tailoring Company, 111 Fourth Avenue is a CLASSIC LOFT BUILDING surrounded by neighborhood hotspots like the Union Square FARMERS MARKET, WHOLE FOODS, Grey Dog Cafe, and countless coveted restaurants and boutiques. PLEASE NOTE: Sorry, no dogs, parents buying for children, guarantors, or students.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
