TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
Driving:
30 minutes to Midtown Manhattan (59th St. Bridge or Midtown Tunnel)
Can be twice as long in congested rush hour traffic
The house has a driveway that can fit three cars and there is unlimited street parking - no restrictions

Three minute walk to:
$6. (one-way) Express Bus to Manhattan (6th Avenue multi-stops from 34th to 59th Streets) the ride takes about 1'15" in rush hours. Discounted unlimited monthly and unlimited monthly including subways and normal buses available, or,

Short walk to:
Long Island Rail Road (a/k/a LIRR) (Bayside and Douglaston Stations):
Douglaston LIRR station is a 5 minute ride away and parking there is easier than at Bayside station - use neighboring streets or paid parking lot.
The walk is 12-15 minutes to Bayside. The Q31 (see below) can cut that by half.
The bicycle ride there is 5 minutes or less and you can chain your bike at the station.
There is a municipal parking lot 1.5 blocks away and lots of unlimited free street parking surrounding the station; however, rush hours, the parking can be difficult.
Kelly Cab service is at the station: $6. to all local points (+$2. per each additional person). They will pickup at the house or take you there when you get off the train.
QueensBorough Community College (about 10 blocks or 5+ minutes by bicycle)

NYC Buses:
Q27 (2-3 minutes) Goes to Flushing in about 30 minutes
Q12 (2-3 minutes) Goes to Flushing & Great Neck, Nassau County in about 30 min.
Q13 (7 minutes) Goes to Flushing & Bay Terrace shopping ctr. in about 30 min.
Flushing buses connect to 7 train, LIRR and JFK AirTrain
Express bus to Manhattan stops three blocks from the house at the corner of Springfield Blvd. and Northern Blvd.
Bayside shops, restaurants, dining are the best.
