Welcome home to Apartment 4L at 300 West 145th Street. This home offers unmatched value, comfort, and convenience in a full-service Condop situated in the heart of Central Harlem. Currently configured as a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom with just under 1,000 sq ft of flexible living space, this home is a pin-drop quiet oasis.

Facing South over the building’s sprawling private courtyard, the space provides the perfect escape from busy NYC life. Upon entering, you’ll immediately notice the rich, espresso stained hardwood floors leading you into the combination living/dining area complete with a custom breakfast nook. The kitchen is tucked just off of this room, with ample storage space, a built-in microwave, and dishwasher.

Originally a 2 bedroom layout, the current owner has seamlessly added a 3rd bedroom directly off of the main living space. All three bedrooms are flooded with natural light, and are perfectly outfitted for work-from-home and study-from-home life, with custom desks and shelving units in each room. Down the hallway, you will find the second bedroom, a recently upgraded, energy-efficient LG washer/dryer, and a full bathroom. Ideally located at the end of the hallway is the primary bedroom, complete with an additional en-suite bathroom and large closet.

Amenities and convenience abound at Bradhurst Court. Built in 2005, this full-service Condop offers a full-time doorman, elevators, newly upgraded fitness center, private landscaped courtyard, attached low-cost parking garage, and a large grocery store occupying one of the building’s commercial spaces. Additional storage & bike storage is available for residents as well. Ideally situated 2 blocks from A/B/C/D & 3 trains at 145th Street, you can find yourself in Midtown in less than 20 minutes. The 1 train is also just a few blocks away.

If you prefer to stay closer to home, there is no shortage of offerings in this exciting neighborhood. Central Harlem is bursting with local cafes, bars, and restaurants; so you can look forward to imbibing locally, no matter what type of cuisine you are looking for. Directly across from the building are Starbucks, New York Sports Club, Duane Reade, and the swimming pool at Jackie Robinson Park.

Harlem | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The neighborhood called West Harlem by the locals is known as Manhattanville to neighborhood newcomers. The area is culturally diverse and might be considered a microcosm of the city as a whole.

Columbia University has recently expanded into the area, which is attracting student residents from all over the world. Together with students from the City College of New York and young professionals fleeing higher prices in other neighborhoods, this influx of younger residents has brought with it more restaurants and bars on W 125th Street to serve this clientele. There are also new ventures, like a rock-climbing gym, to cater to the interests of these students and young professionals. At the same time, there are many small, family-owned shops and restaurants that have been anchors of the neighborhood for multiple generations.

The area has been through a housing upgrade, as older properties have been renovated and abandoned properties have been razed to make room for new development. There are still reasonably priced apartments available. Young professionals are finding that there is a certain cachet to living in West Harlem. It provides a convenient commute to the city and all of its amenities, while providing a sense of escape at the end of a long work day.

While rentals are popular with the student population, the young professionals are delighted to find pre-war brownstones, pre-war co-ops (including some income-capped HDFCs for lower- and middle-income buyers), and post-war condos that they can afford, although prices are rising. Some new low-rise developments, sporting virtual doormen and desired amenities, are cropping up.
