Property Description for 60 Collister Street, 3-B

Formerly a horse stable for American Express delivery services back in 1866, 60 Collister Street is now a boutique luxury condominium featuring all the coveted loft details that come to mind when searching for a Tribeca dream home.

Available for the first time since the current owners purchased it from the developer as mainly raw space before they customized it to the beautiful home it is today, apartment 3B is arguably the most desirable layout and size the building has ever offered at this price point. As soon as you enter the 2800+ sq ft home, you are greeted by an absolutely stunning 51-foot entry gallery. An entire wall is dedicated to a wall of custom closets with stylish leather doors pulls and a built-in office. The other side is waiting to show off a curated collection of art and photography. With all of the custom cove lighting, the design options are endless.

The gallery leads to the incredible living space that will leave you speechless. The nearly 12-foot ceilings and 7 corner windows facing over Laight and Collister Street flood the room with natural light while giving a view of historic Tribeca landmark buildings. The sprawling room can fit a 12 person dining table, large sectional seating, and have plenty of space to spare. The room also features a wall of custom cabinetry with a bioethanol fireplace and hidden television that has all been designed to perfection and will be included in the purchase.

The kitchen is loaded with beautiful cabinetry, marble counters, and top of the line appliances. There is a 6 range Wolf with double oven that vents out, Gagenou microwave and oven, Sub Zero fridge and wine cooler, and a Bosch dishwasher.

Down the hall are three large bedrooms facing over a very quiet Collister street with three full stylish bathrooms. The two secondary bedrooms are expansive in size with soaring ceiling heights and outfitted closets. The King-size primary suite is tucked away in the back of the home. It features an entire wall of custom closets and an absolutely stunning 5 fixture marble bathroom. The bathroom features heated floors, a double vanity, hidden storage in the marble walls, a separate toilet, and a wet room with a rainfall showerhead and a stainless steel soaking tub.

The home is completed with a Sonos sound system, laundry room, custom lighting, and multi-zone central heating and cooling system.

60 Collister is a cobblestone street in a prime Tribeca neighborhood close to iconic restaurants, boutique fitness studios, and the Hudson River. There are 15 apartments that share a full-time doorman and are soon to enjoy a newly renovated lobby to welcome them home.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
