Property Description for 410 West 24th Street, 12-J

Welcome to Apartment 12J at 410 West 24th Street, London Terrace Towers. Designed with clean, modern lines while retaining its pre-war character, this high-floor one bedroom, one bath has been designed to perfection and is in mint condition. Tall beamed ceilings and historic, original oak floors run throughout all of the perfectly proportioned rooms. Large windows offer sunny southern exposures into the famous London Terrace courtyard. A gracious entry foyer separates the living room and bedroom suite. The living room features two large casement style windows. It is large enough for separate dining, but there is also a magnificent open kitchen making it an ideal space for casual dining, entertaining, or even a home office! A kitchen of this caliber is not normally found in a one bedroom apartment. It features top of the line appliances, including a Wolf range, Liebherr refrigerator, and a Bosch dishwasher. There is an endless amount of custom cabinetry and storage space. The island, countertops and backsplash are all covered in gorgeous marble. The bedroom easily accommodates a king size bed, leaving plenty of room for nightstands, dressers, and even a home office. The separate bath was recently renovated using only the best fixtures and finishes, featuring floor to ceiling marble and subway tiles, a deep soaking tub and a custom built vanity. London Terrace Towers is the premier cooperative in Chelsea. It includes the famous half Olympic-sized swimming pool, planted roof deck with panoramic city and river views, a state of the art gym that rivals any high-end health club in NYC, and all for a nominal fee. Experience a seamless condo-like purchase because NO BOARD APPROVAL is required for this sale (only managing agent approval) and there is no flip tax. Sunday showings require notice before 5pm on Friday.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
