Property Description for 208 President Street, 4

This is an approximately 1050sqft two bedroom PENTHOUSE townhouse rental you wish you could own as it's absolutely impeccable in its finishes ! This gem is loaded with perks an d the natural light is a real tangible feature. A treelined block is a favorite as well , with a very short distance to the subway and a fabulous Farmers Market on Sunday. Yes the apartment gets beautiful southern exposure and the townhouse is approximately 22.5ft in width so terrific scale. You'll have a private landing for some additional storage only this apartment gets. A 3 flight of stairs walk-up should not deter you. Keep a bike on your landing or maybe the kayak too. Why is this rental so unique ; trust me its got charm and then some with so much light streaming in everywhere including an interior hallway with ATRIUM that connects the bedrooms and WALK-IN closet to the kitchen and living space in the rear . The ceiling moldings are gorgeous and subtle . CLOSET space is excellent, including a walk-in closet. The kitchen has this crisp antique look with so many extras. It has a grey/blue splash in the lower cabinets, a built in china cabinet and layers of recessed shelving above the sink . The cabinetry stands out ;4 door 30 inch rustic white custom wooden cabinetry I wish i could move to my place. It feels like a New England kitchen and its just the right size too. Enjoy the images. This one of a kind cooks kitchen has a lovely dull reddish earth toned clay tile flooring and you will love its 3 dimensional user layout . Of course there is a dishwasher and enough outlets to prep for a grand Thanks giving gathering. So you mentioned the importance of a nice bathroom ? I promise this one will exceed your expectations. It's got a big window too. I deserve this bathroom ! The " claw foot big tub " is something you'd maybe hope to find on a trek upstate to a bed and breakfast. It's got this large tub to soak in .... well its yours now for everyday enjoyment. I have to tell you there are just too many DETAILS to describe including the porcelain 2x2 inch black and white floor tile . Ye this is a a dream bathroom and i am not embellishing.....promise ! What an extra nice perk to get ; this palatial BATHROOM ! I could go on and on but lets try to wrap up with a few more essential points but I will likely fail because there are these wonderful details i want to tell you about !( this is a laugh line) as i am exhausted !.We all need to laugh ! The apartment has a very comfortable if spacious to many living space and an " in unit " washer/dryer in the oversized bathroom that will not be in the way. Let's add the easy on the eyes " blonde " colored satin but dull finished oak floors thru-out the apartment. I hate shiny floors ! The floors are really going to stand out if you have a good designer eye but really your eyes will be moving around like a camera flashing quickly as there's so much to see including this hallway atrium that adds even more light to the apartments interior. The ceilings approach 10FT as well so no worries and lets add that its a townhouse rental with great views of sky and greenery both front and back . You'll be happy with a very short distance to the subway and the HENRY Street shopping and cafes is just a stones throwaway as is the subway. If you need the # trains its very doable too. Lets say this is a NORTH location do you can have it all ! There is also BIKE storage the owner created so you do not need to lug bikes upstairs. Pets: owner will take 1 small pet on approval for the first time ! Now we are cooking bigtime .So you have gathered some excitement here ; you're right ?.. it's one of my favorite rentals and what a great place to make your next home. Rental commission is paid by the renter. Reduced commission but remember you pay not the owner . Priced to rent. A bargain so look at it as a long term investment. March 15 is the preferred start date but there is some flexibility. Visits will be announced soon.

Carroll Gardens | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Filled with charming churches, whose ringing bells punctuate the days, together with quirky boutiques, trendy bars, Italian bakeries, and restaurants featuring a wide variety of cuisines, with an emphasis on traditional Italian cuisine, Carroll Gardens maintains a sense of Old World charm. While most of the restaurants are small and family-owned, there are Michelin-rated restaurants for those special date nights. Abundant coffee shops and bakeries ensure you are never far from a tasty pastry and your next cup of joe.

Unlike many neighborhoods, Carroll Gardens has an impressive array of grocery stores, including the popular Court Street Grocers. While Carroll Park is the main green space, located in the heart of the neighborhood, there are other parks, such as the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Cadman Plaza Park, and Van Voorhees Playground, all within easy walking distance.

Court and Smith Streets are the main commercial areas, packed with bakeries, intimate bars, unique boutiques, and small mom-and-pop Italian cafes, many with sidewalk or patio seating. Court Street has most of the older businesses that have operated for generations in the same location. Smith Street has more trendy establishments.

If you are looking for a neighborhood that is quieter and less congested, Carroll Gardens might be a perfect fit. It is a great place to raise a family, with good schools and safe streets. It is the type of place where you will know the names of your neighbors and the owners of the shops and restaurants you frequent. It is a great walkable neighborhood for retirees, and an easy commute into the city for young professionals. The streets are shady and tree-lined, and many feature brownstones and townhouses that sport sizeable front gardens, adding to the natural charm of the neighborhood.
