Property Description for 226 South 2nd Street, 2

Security deposit free unit using Rhino. Please ask for more details! Townhouse in the sky! Welcome home to this 2000+ sq.ft. 3 bedroom, 2 full and 2 half-bath townhouse-like condo, complete with 4 outdoor spaces! Composed of the top three floors of a 5-story building in the always-vibrant Southside of Williamsburg, this condo truly feels like a home. The first level is home to three bedrooms, two full baths and a laundry room, the second to your living/dining room and kitchen (with 18.5' ceilings!), and the third to an open mezzanine and huge South-facing roof terrace! This condo truly has it all - a large primary suite with pass through closet and en suite bath with dual vanity. The second and third bedrooms overlook the pretty canopy in the backyard, and share a lovely bathroom. The full-size laundry room is perfect for a family of any size. And then we come to the living room, which is simply incredible. As you'll see in the pictures, the ceilings are so high you could fit a giraffe in there - yes, that's life-size - and the light is simply perfect! The open layout provides for tremendous ease of living, or more correctly, entertaining, which all this drama kinda calls for. The kitchen has an entire wall of storage closets and is complete with top-of-the-line appliances (Subzero, Wolf, and Bosch). To top it off, you have a powder room and two balconies on this floor And finally, we head to the mezzanine, which is sun-filled all day long, has it's own powder room, and makes for a perfect home office, den, kids room, man cave, etc. etc. From here you step on to your ~300 sq.ft. roof terrace, replete with wood decking, beautiful tree boxes, and an awning to shade you from all that glorious sunlight. 226 South 2nd Street is a two-unit, pet-friendly condominium with incredibly low common charges, and is conveniently located just a few minutes from the Marcy JMZ, the Bedford L, and East River Ferry. Please provide 24 hours notice for all showings, including Open Houses.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
