Property Description for 111 Murray Street, 24-WEST

Panaromic Hudson River and city views abound from this fully customized 2,685 square foot home at world-renowned 111 Murray Street. A private elevator vestibule leads to an elegant double door entry into this pristine home. From there, a foyer leads to a stunning great room with 10'7" ceilings, an open kitchen, and jaw dropping views of west and north facing exposures. Light floods thru the floor-to-ceiling windows all day. Custom Lutron shades and sonos sound system have been added throughout the apartment. Designed by AD100 designer David Mann, the Molteni kitchen is fully outfitted to the highest standards; there is a Calacatta Borghini marble island, countertop, and backsplash, White Oak cabinetry, high-end appliances by Miele, Wolfe, and Sub-zero, a steam and speed oven, warming drawer, and 5 burner gas cooktop with a vented canopy hood. There is also a wine refrigerator, coffee system and Dornbracht fixtures throughout. The kitchen and hallway storage space is a dream- in addition to the two pantry closets already in the kitchen, the current owners created a massive china closet. Originally designed as a four bedroom apartment, the current owners have customized the floorplan to maximize daily living and entertainment space. The primary bedroom anchors the south end of the apartment and enjoys open southern views from both the bedroom and the massive, luxurious en-suite bathroom with double marble vanities, free-standing soaking tub, separate water closet, Dornbracht fittings and radiant heat floors. To supplement the large walk-in closet, the current owners created two additional closets. There are two more spacious bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite on this hallway. The fourth bedroom is currently utilized as a media/entertainment room and is tucked away neatly on the north side of the apartment. Custom built-ins with a dry bar and refrigerator drawers have been added to make this chicest of spaces. This room can easily be converted back to a bedroom. Developed by Witkoff, New Valley, and Fisher Brothers, with architecture by Kohn Pedersen Fox and interiors by David Mann, 111 Murray has unparalleled amenity spaces; there is a fitness center with two pools and separate movement studio, steam and wellness room, sauna, residents' lounge, private dining room and kitchen, patisserie, hair salon, childrens playroom and media room, as well as multiple landscaped exteriors designed by Edmund Hollander. Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
