Property Description for 50 Lexington Ave, 20-B

PENTHOUSE LIVING!

If you're looking for a spacious home to spread out in with that extra room for an office or visitors with great natural light, open views, high ceilings and a private balcony, you're in luck! Because, here at Penthouse D at 50 Lex, you have all that in a condo-like building at coop prices!

As you enter this 3 bed/2 bath home, you're greeted by a wall of windows and 9 ft ceilings. This is the only floor in the building with this kind of ceiling height!

The large windows throughout this home face East for brilliant light and open views.

Your spacious living/dining combo provides access to your balcony. It's the perfect place to relax in the evening or with a cup of Joe in the morning and enjoy expansive views to the North and South.
The primary bedroom is simply massive and features an en-suite bath and a giant walk-in closet.

There is an additional bathroom across from the generously proportioned 2nd bedroom.
The 3rd BR can be opened up and incorporated into the living space. Or, just leave it as is and use it as you see fit, whether as an office, nursery or a guest room.

The kitchen is right off the living room so you're never far from the action even if you're cooking away.

50 Lex is a flexible coop operating similar to a condo and offers 24 hr DM, live-in super, indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, laundry room and a huge furnished roof deck with stunning views of many NYC landmark buildings.

Superbly located at the crossroads of Gramercy and Flatiron, you're right near Gramercy, Madison Sq and Union Sq Parks, some of the city's top restaurants and great shopping. Transportation options are terrific, too, with the 6 and R/W trains and M23 bus pretty much outside your door.

Capital assessment of $406.10 in place until Nov 2021. Capital contribution fee of 3 months maintenance payable at closing.

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
