Property Description for 125 Hart Street

With several massive outdoor spaces, oversized windows and a loft-like feel throughout, 125 Hart Street is the home every buyer is searching for in 2021. It offers two nearly identical duplexes – ideal for friends or family looking to live close together while having a separation. Each home features either a huge backyard or an enormous roof deck and all with very high ceilings- making this the perfect all-around investment or primary home with high income rental. The exterior is tastefully done in a timeless brick design. Walk through the vestibule where a door to your right leads you to the first unit. As you enter you will see an open living/dining room along with the kitchen with top of the line appliances and a half bath. This lower unit has the added benefit of a third, lower level which makes for a perfect media room or office and also includes a full bath and washer/dryer. Up the interior staircase to the parlor floor you will find three beautifully-sized bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms - one en suite. The finishes throughout are modern and tasteful with oversized windows bringing in natural light all day long. There is a gorgeous and sizable backyard here as well - perfect for dining al fresco and working that green thumb! Who needs a park when you have a yard like this? So much room to breathe and live and work comfortably. Head up the hallway stairs again to the upper duplex. The finishes and floors are just as stylish in both units and the super high ceilings lend a true feel of loft living. The lower level here is an open living and dining area with gourmet kitchen and includes a half bath and washer/dryer. The upper level features also three massive bedrooms - one with en suite bath, and extra high ceilings soaring to over 15'! There is also a large and lovely terrace off the master bedroom. The piece de resistance is the enormous roof deck with views galore. You will never need or want to leave home! Both units at 125 Hart Street have everything a buyer in 2020 could want: plenty of space for living, sky high ceilings and large windows for light and air, working from home and enjoying the great outdoors. Located in prime BedStuy and close to 3 different train lines, this home is not to be missed!

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
