Property Description for 1 North Moore Street, TH

1 North Moore St Townhouse

Available Immediately

Enjoy the best of both worlds by living in a full service, doorman building with the benefit of your own discrete entrance and private planted garden. The townhouse unit is a 7,000 sqft home with a private two-car garage with direct access into the residence. The building is located on arguably the best corner in TriBeCa. This mansion-style 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home is heaven on earth. It is built out with custom designed steel staircases, marble floors, reclaimed wood flooring laid in a herringbone pattern, poured concrete columns and Venetian plaster walls throughout.

The main level includes a loft style living room, dining room and chef's kitchen. The kitchen includes bar seating, an eight person table and a beautiful wall of glass windows and doors opening to the private 1,200 sqft outdoor garden, suitable for entertaining indoor or outdoor dinner parties.

The primary bedroom suite is over 1,200 sqft alone with gas burning fireplace and one of the largest bathrooms in the city that you must see with your own eyes. An added bonus is the massive closet fit for royalty. Three additional bedrooms are located on the top level of the home.

The townhouse is a triplex with generously proportioned rooms with a smart layout that separates the entertaining floors from the sleeping quarters. The lower level is equipped with movie theater, wet bar and wine storage, pool table and additional bonus room for service quarters or home office.

One North Moore is a 24-hour doorman building offering a level craftsmanship and luxury possible only in such an exclusive jewel-box property. The building sits pretty on a corner showing off it's masonry construction with a highly articulated brick fa?ade and casement windows. Central air conditioning, radiant heated floors, speakers, shades and TV's everywhere.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
