Property Description for 538 Union Ave, 5-B

When was the last time the perfect combination of location and space was filled with such exceptional light? With city skyline views, a prodigious private outdoor space, and parking, we know you'll agree that this is the one. Rise each day from your rooftop bedroom at 538 Union Ave, and watch the city come awake from your adjacent patio. Start your daily practice here, whether you love to exercise, meditate, or just contemplate the clouds as you sip your morning coffee - unless matcha is more your speed. Your spacious bedroom is served by a nearby full bathroom. The double vanity setup means no more fighting over who gets the mirror, and the basket-weave floor tiles complement the classic grey walls and quality fixtures. Pad down the stairs to your open plan living room and kitchen and fuel up for your day. Will you slide up to the breakfast bar or settle down at your dining table before taking stock of where you are and what's ahead of you? We're guessing it looks great from where you're sitting. With ceilings here close to ten feet, there's a sense of proportion, an airiness that we know you'll appreciate. The loft-like space gives a friendly nod to the surrounding neighborhood's industrial roots and the exceptionally tall windows light up your home at all hours of the day. Your second bedroom is perfect for guests, workouts, or a quiet place to work from, and with the second bathroom located steps away, along with your own laundry facilities, you really have all you could need. When dinner time comes around you'll appreciate the chef's kitchen. The white Caesarstone countertops are durable, easy to maintain, and complement the shaker-style cabinets perfectly. Viking, Bosch, and Fisher & Paykel appliances will aid your every effort to become a master chef. Alternately you could order out from one of your amazing neighborhood eateries, with the acclaimed Lilia just across the road. Take the time to note the quality of the materials and workmanship: satin-finished white oak floors, luxurious Carrera marble, porcelain tiling, and crisp, clean lines make for a timeless masterpiece. Storage options abound, with ample closets throughout and a generous pantry by the kitchen. Spa-like bathrooms with soaking tubs, an LG washer & dryer, and central air make this home a sanctuary, while clever additions such as plumbed gas for your barbeque along with electric and water outlets on your private patio, make outdoor dining and gardening easy. The stellar location is not only central to innumerable cafes, restaurants, and bars, but also nearby McCarren Park, with its 35 acres of green space and more, whether you are planning a picnic, walking your dog, or stopping by the Greenmarket. And with the G and L trains, as well as convenient Citi Bike's, you'll find getting around your city is a breeze. But then again, you have your own exclusive parking spot when coming home.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
