Property Description for 305 East 24th Street, 9-T

MOVE IN READY! This extra-large, true one-bedroom is your oasis in the middle of the city! A quiet Zen-like space that is full of sun and beautiful custom finishes throughout the unit.

The entryway has a generous walk-in closet leading from the foyer into the main entertaining space which has a lovely and spacious dining area as well as large living room, where you can enjoy the open blue skies and the southern exposure from the numerous noise abatement windows.

This leads to the spectacular balcony! Step into a true luxury – the private outdoor space! Enjoy gorgeous views to the east, south and west! The newly renovated, pristine expanse gives you the flexibility to relax indoors or outdoors, entertain safely, and have the advantage of outdoor living just a step away day and night.

The fully renovated chefs kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances including Bosch range, microwave and dishwasher, and Sub-Zero extra tall refrigerator. The kitchen is beautifully topped with granite countertops and a tile backsplash. There is also an additional custom-built station giving you incredible counter and cabinet space – this kitchen has an open feel as it flows with the dining room area for effortless serving and the ease of open plan living and entertaining.

The spacious, fully renovated bathroom has been expanded to include a very large closet for linens and storage, as well as custom tiles, in-shower storage and a sliding glass shower door. This bathroom was renovated and made into a much larger space than the original bathroom floorplan. True opulence in Manhattan! There is another clever addition – pocket doors that serve as contemporary, space saving closures, including one that separates the bedroom and bathroom from the other living area of the unit, creating a truly private space.

This apartment features another rare find for New York City – an extra-large walk-in closet in the entranceway, a large closet in the hallway adjacent to the bathroom, as well as a custom closet in the bedroom! The bright and airy bedroom features space for any size bed as well as being sizable enough to fit a home office or sitting area. There are also beautiful hardwood floors throughout the entire apartment. The notable paint color scheme and the custom, modern lighting touches throughout the entire unit makes this a distinctive, one-of-a-kind home.

The unit features central AC and heat, which is included in the low monthly maintenance. This pet-friendly, well-managed building is convenient to several public and private schools as well as great shopping (Fairway, Trader Joe’s, and the new Target are all nearby!). Washer/dryer can be added in the unit with board approval; building has a large, recently renovated laundry room, as well. Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
