Property Description for 88 Lexington Ave, 1202

NoMad. Condo. Chic. 88 Lexington Avenue, #1202. This 1873sf high-floor residence at 88 Lexington Avenue represents gracious living at its finest. Grand 10’2” ceilings with oversized windows and dual exposures to the north and west, Apartment 1202 is a perfectly-proportioned two bedroom loft-like home with two full baths, a powder room, an additional home office/guest room, laundry room and ample storage. Designed by Workshop/APD, this home delivers on every level – a layout that flows beautifully, meticulous detail and finishes, and a timeless palette of French limestone, silver travertine, and fumed grey oak floors. Every detail has been thoughtfully delivered. The formal entry foyer with powder room leads to a beautifully-appointed contemporary kitchen with custom cabinetry, polished glassos countertop, grey marble backsplash, Dornbracht fixtures, Bertazzoni oven and cooktop, and more. A celebratory room unto itself, the kitchen is perfect for entertaining, but also wonderfully separate from the expansive great room. The bedroom wing has generously-sized rooms, ample closet space, and spa-like bathrooms. The Primary Bedroom has three closets, and the ensuite Primary Bath details include French limestone flooring and wall tiles, travertine slab backsplash, radiant heated floors by NuHeat, and a WetStyle Cube Collection deep soaking tub. The second bedroom is currently being enjoyed as a media room while the study is a perfect work-from-home office or guest room. Additional bathroom details include: smoked oak vanity millwork, LED-illuminated medicine cabinet with mirror defogger, and Philippe Starck-designed Hansgrohe fixtures. This truly stunning home also has dual-zone central air conditioning controlled by NEST, abundant storage, California Closets, electric window treatments by Lutron, and in-unit washer/dryer (vented). Fun Fact: this home is completely private with no adjoining walls. 88 Lexington is a beautiful pre-war building that was originally built in 1927 and converted to a full-service luxury condominium in 2015. It offers an incredible array of amenities, beginning with its impressive lobby, and including an indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, fitness center, steam room and sauna, 24-hour doorman and concierge, common roof terrace, playroom, resident’s lounge, screening room, and garage. Pets love it here and so will you. Shown by appointment only.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
