Property Description for 405 Greenwood Ave

A blue slate stair case with a contemporary iron banister frame the entrance to 405 Greenwood Avenue.

Your three story townhouse has just been thoughtfully renovated. Be the first to experience this three bedroom, three and a half bath home that features a large front and backyard. It also includes a deck off the kitchen in the backyard. Additionally there is a secret outdoor nook that you will have to see.

Brand new white oak cabinets and white quartz countertops with large stainless steel appliances are anchored by a kitchen island. The kitchen is spacious enough for a chef to be joined by one or more sous chefs.

Downstairs on the street level, you will find a bedroom, bathroom, and a washer/dryer hook up. Then the fun really begins with a beautiful sunken living room and a banquet that now frames a decorative fire place. To the left of the fireplace, you will find patio doors that lead to a covered outdoor grotto.

The primary bedroom level is located on the top floor of the home. The secondary bedroom is large with ample closet space. The primary bedroom has two large closets and prewar details like exposed brick and a brand new ensuite bathroom with a separate shower stall.

405 Greenwood Ave is located in an idyllic and quiet section of Windsor Terrace. While it is hard to put into words how special this block is, let's just say it's the type of block that driving instructors use to teach parking.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
