Property Description for 225 West 25th Street, 2-G

SPONSOR - NO BOARD APPROVAL. NO APP FEES. NO BROKER'S FEE. TWO YEAR LEASE. 225 W. 25th St. #2G - Come quickly to this one -- it is enormous and like new! This huge one bedroom, corner apartment in an established Chelsea coop faces south and west onto 25th street and has great sunlight and tree-line views from the bedroom and the living room. The very recent renovations are impeccable. Beautifully redone original oak floors come in three styles, herringbone, parquet and plank, which make this top-notch layout feel even larger. Skim coating and a new paint job accentuate the art deco details like rounded soffits and etched crown and cove molding.

The rooms are huge, and there are not one but two galleries - suitable for dining and an office if you so choose. The kitchen feels like new development - with caesarstone counters, pure white subway tile backsplash and new tile flooring. The dishwasher, stove, microwave and extra-tall refrigerator are all stainless. The soft-closing drawers and copious cabinets give you plenty of storage space, not to mention six closets and a huge STORAGE cage in the basement that's INCLUDED IN THE RENT.

225 W 25th St #2G is in a well-established coop community that takes immaculate care of the building. Amenities include smart-card laundry in the basement, video security, an elevator, a roof deck, a backyard, a live-in superintendent who takes packages, and a bike room (for a fee). The building is conveniently nestled between the 1 and C,E trains, a block from the M,F, not far from Penn Station and the crosstown select buses at 23rd and 34th. No coop application or interview - sponsor application only. No app fees except for move-in. Sorry no smoking, pets, shares, guarantors or temporary walls. This is currently occupied so 24 hours' notice and covid docs and disclosures are all required by 6p the day before the showing.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
