Property Description for 161A Carroll Street, 3

Unit Highlights Prime Leafy North Carroll Gardens block ! Beautiful southern exposure Extra- large bedroom with leafy views Delightful cooks kitchen /it's windowed too Nicely tiled and pretty bathroom Loftlike living space This one bedroom floor with excellent closet space in such a lovely townhouse is a find ! Who does not like Carroll street off of Clinton street to make home . The owners are wonderful and only lease 2 apartments.. that sounds like a super living situation to me . The front bedroom has tranquil leafy views and 3 windows ; such a fabulous room with so much space. I love the ceiling height and the scale of this big bedroom or make it your living space. You create the layout ! This beautiful room gets lots of natural light year round as its south facing . Year round works for me. We touched earlier on the prime location that's circa only 2.5 blocks from the 24/7 subway at Carroll street which is also ideal and there are several laundry options on Henry street . I have lived close by previously and sorely miss this location. The well-known Mazzola bakery and cafes that dot Henry street will attract your friends who will want to stop by on weekends for brunch . Head over to " The Farmacy " for an EGG CREAM after dining at a French caf on Union street or Mexican cantina both with outdoor seating ! Everything you need or mostly is within a few blocks. The location has lots of perks including a Farmers Market on Sunday just 2 blocks away . The coffee options are many and so are the fine restaurants that surround Carroll street when you just want to be outside. If you like to cook however the kitchen will likely get a nod from you ; it's quite nice . plenty big and also with generous cabinetry. The kitchen and bathroom are both solid and the apartment has pretty period detail . Pets: on approval one smaller pet that's trained and friendly . If I had a budget in the mid two thousand area and location and tranquility were high on my list of what I wanted in a new home .I have to tell you this one will be very hard to top ! Finders keepers as they say and what a find indeed is this Carroll street townhouse rental available May 1 . The owner will consider a May 15 occupancy and provides the heat and hot water as well. There is a reduced rental commission paid by the renter .

Carroll Gardens | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Filled with charming churches, whose ringing bells punctuate the days, together with quirky boutiques, trendy bars, Italian bakeries, and restaurants featuring a wide variety of cuisines, with an emphasis on traditional Italian cuisine, Carroll Gardens maintains a sense of Old World charm. While most of the restaurants are small and family-owned, there are Michelin-rated restaurants for those special date nights. Abundant coffee shops and bakeries ensure you are never far from a tasty pastry and your next cup of joe.

Unlike many neighborhoods, Carroll Gardens has an impressive array of grocery stores, including the popular Court Street Grocers. While Carroll Park is the main green space, located in the heart of the neighborhood, there are other parks, such as the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Cadman Plaza Park, and Van Voorhees Playground, all within easy walking distance.

Court and Smith Streets are the main commercial areas, packed with bakeries, intimate bars, unique boutiques, and small mom-and-pop Italian cafes, many with sidewalk or patio seating. Court Street has most of the older businesses that have operated for generations in the same location. Smith Street has more trendy establishments.

If you are looking for a neighborhood that is quieter and less congested, Carroll Gardens might be a perfect fit. It is a great place to raise a family, with good schools and safe streets. It is the type of place where you will know the names of your neighbors and the owners of the shops and restaurants you frequent. It is a great walkable neighborhood for retirees, and an easy commute into the city for young professionals. The streets are shady and tree-lined, and many feature brownstones and townhouses that sport sizeable front gardens, adding to the natural charm of the neighborhood.
