Property Description for 20 Pine Street, 2012

New to market! Thoughtfully designed one bedroom on the 20th floor of a beautiful luxury building in prime Financial District. With 10.5 foot high ceilings and two oversized windows, the apartment receives nice northeastern light throughout the day, and fantastic city views. The apartment features a personal washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, and excellent closet space. Layout of the apartment was very thoughtfully done - the bathroom is off to your right, just past two spacious closets. It has a separate tub and recessed rain shower. The open kitchen has a Subzero fridge, two freezers, Miele stovetop and oven, and a full sized dishwasher. The spacious bedroom is enclosed in sliding glass doors, allowing tenants to easily adjust the space as needed to make it feel bigger and brighter, or to adjust for more privacy. Tucked outside of the bedroom is a nook facing the second window, perfect for an office or library space. 20 Pine Street is luxury building with top-of-the-line amenities, including a pool, gym, spa, steam room, roof deck, and reflection pool. The building is full service, providing all tenants with access to a 24-hour doorman, valet, and dry cleaning service. The location in the Financial District cannot be beat - it's only blocks to all of the best restaurants and entertainment in the area, as well as quick access to the 4/5/6 and 1/2/3 trains. Owner is amenable to a longer lease. Pets allowed on a case by case basis.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
