Property Description for 24 Kosciuszko Street, 2-B

Welcome to sunny Bed Stuy, where sunlight and room to breathe await in this bright and airy true three-bedroom with unbeatably LOW monthlies.

Just over the Clinton Hill border and one flight up, this boutique floor-through offers private outdoor space at both the front and back of the apartment, light and lovely views from all of the generously sized rooms, an impressive amount of storage and 5" plank white oak floors throughout.

As you enter from your semi-private landing, you'll be welcomed by an open chef's kitchen featuring a large island breakfast bar, stainless-steel cooktop and dishwasher, white Ceasarstone countertops and a full-sized, in-unit washer-dryer conveniently located just off the kitchen. The living and dining areas' large front windows face directly down a long open street providing an expansive feel, abundant light all day, and lead to a front balcony.

2B's layout provides for quiet and separation between the back sleeping rooms and the front rooms. The primary bedroom is a sanctuary and features an en-suite marble bath with deep soaking tub and a large and sunny private balcony perfect for a quiet cup of morning coffee and place to relax in the sun. The second bedroom is also nicely proportioned, provides quiet and receives beautiful light throughout the day. The third bedroom can provide flexibility as a HOME OFFICE, guest room or den.

There are six deep closets in this apartment, including separate coat, linen and mechanical/heavy-duty item closets, extra storage in the kitchen island and cabinets thoughtfully designed to maximize space. The building is PET-FRIENDLY, provides free bike storage and common storage in the basement and an outside cleaning crew.

This thriving neighborhood is home to a myriad of restaurants, bars and great coffee shops including Black Swan, Swell Dive, Chilos, Pilar, Fancy Nancy, Dynaco, Do or Dive, Speedy Romeo, Stonefruit Espresso and Burly Coffee. Grocery options include a corner grocery, Bravo Supermarket, C-Town and Trader Joe's. For health and wellness, Tribeca Pediatrics and Element Beauty Lounge are close by and The YMCA is two blocks south and features a pool. Home Depot is two blocks away and convenient transportation is located one block away to the G Train and the B38 stop.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
