Property Description for 25 Murray Street, 7-G

Within moments of entering this truly unique, and incomparable 2.5 bedroom and 2 bath home in the heart of NYC’s most sought after zip code you will understand why 7G is considered to be the most exclusive unit in 25 Murray St. It’s rare structural positioning is an architect’s dream with an updated modern aesthetic, surrounded by an additional 1,800 sq ft of unparalleled tree-lined private outdoor space. At the center of the 740sq ft great room, you will find an intersection of sunlight and a subtle cross breeze from both sets of sliding glass doors that lead out to both the North and South Terraces (900sq ft each). Saunter out to either one of the meticulously manicured and professionally landscaped outdoor spaces into a perfectly-curated dwarf Japanese conifer garden, home of many different species including red Japanese Maples, that delightfully compliment the assortment of delicate daffodils and seasonal hydrangeas. Each patio is custom built with hardwood decking, in ground spot lighting, surround sound, subwoofer, and an automatic irrigation system hidden in between a lush setting of greenery. Once owned by world renowned professional musicians, the unique structure of this home provides exceptional acoustics and often doubled as a venue for private classical concerts often accompanied by a small orchestra under the moonlight. Perhaps the only thing more inviting than the breathtaking site of this fantasy oasis is the idea of hosting your next outdoor cocktail party, binging on Netflix, grilling, or catching the game on your SunBright year round outdoor flat screen TV, while lounging on one of the multiple outdoor seating sections. The parameters of both gardens are lined with sky scraping trees for privacy. Both terraces leave plenty of room for a child’s play area, swingset, or outdoor workout facility. Indoor features an expansive, well-designed layout with open kitchen, living and dining room space. Bedroom 1 (13.8x13.6) has enormous closets, and a sliding door to the North Terrace. The master bedroom has double exposure to both North and South terraces and en suite bathroom with floor to ceiling glass exposure to the garden and patio door. This full spa bathroom offers a deep soaking Kohler Jacuzzi, Kallista double vanity with white glass counters, beautiful hardwood custom cabinetry and relaxing views and entry to the terrace. Both bedrooms have custom-made motorized shades with remote controls at your convenience. The separate office or nursery was custom designed with built in shelving, european lacquer, and overlooks the beautiful tranquil terraces soaked with sunlight. Kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, solid-wood soft-close cabinets, black granite countertop, breakfast bar and windows with views of the terrace. The apartment features beautiful hard-oak floors, tall ceiling height of 10.5", central air conditioning and heating system, an LG washer/dryer, and each light is built with a Leviton dimmer. There’s never been a better time to invest in private outdoor residential space in New York. Your days of worrying about cars honking and zipping by within inches of your wobbly table on a busy avenue are over when you consider a home that has more outdoor seating than most NYC restaurants. The apartment also comes with a private storage room along the hallway towards the apartment. 25 Murray was built in 1930 and converted to a charming pre-war yet modern luxury condo in 2005. Located in the heart of Tribeca, the building features a grand double-height lobby, newly renovated hallways, 24-hour doorman, landscaped roof deck with BBQ, billiards lounge, sauna, fitness center, bicycle room and playroom. Minutes to Tribeca’s best offerings including Whole Foods and many transportation options. Pets are allowed

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
