Property Description for 211 East 13th Street, 4-C

BACK ON THE MARKET, DEAL FEEL THROUGH. Residence 4C is a modern two-bedroom, two-bathroom home located in The Jefferson, a full-service, eco-friendly new construction condominium. Situated on a serene, tree-lined Village block just off Third Avenue, 211 East 13th Street is moments from Union Square Park.

The entry foyer flows directly into a large (17’10” x 13’4”) living room. Natural light bathes the interior through expansive high-performance double-paned windows which face south and frame the treetops, open sky and architectural cornices across East 13th Street.

Natural oak paneling on the ceiling and walls defines the phenomenal kitchen space designed by Eggersmann Home Living, a European cabinetry company esteemed for its sustainable practices and materials. The open chef's kitchen features a Corian breakfast bar and is equipped with a seamlessly integrated 36" Sub-Zero refrigerator with two freezer drawers, a Wolf gas range and microwave oven, Sub-Zero 26-bottle wine refrigerator, vented Broan hood and Bosch dishwasher.

At the end of the bedroom hall, a spacious master bedroom boasts an oversized walk-in closet, and its sumptuous en-suite bathroom is outfitted with a glass-enclosed shower, a radiant heated Basaltina stone floor, honed limestone walls, a double vanity crafted from reclaimed barn wood, a GlassCrafters two-door medicine cabinet, and premium fixtures by LeFroy Brooks and Restoration Hardware. Both the primary and the adjacent large second bedroom look out over the quiet tree lined East 13th Street. A second luxurious full bathroom, also functions as a powder room and is appointed with similar high-end finishes.

Other highlights of 4C include central air conditioning and heating, a full-sized Asko washer and dryer, a Somfy solar shade automation system, custom blackout window treatments in the bedrooms, lofty 9'2" ceiling heights, wide-plank oak flooring throughout, and very low carrying costs (please note, there is a nominal monthly HVAC charge).

This premier building features a 24/7 doorman and live-in resident manager, state-of-the-art fitness facility, residents' lounge and business center. An extraordinary furnished rooftop landscaped by Town & Gardens with panoramic views is appointed with plentiful seating, an outdoor shower, multiple barbecue grills and a pergola.

The Jefferson, completed in 2014, is an award-winning luxury condominium conveniently situated at the nexus of Greenwich Village, East Village, Union Square and Gramercy and is within close proximity to some of New York City’s finest restaurants, shopping, markets (Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Westside Market), and parks (Union Square, Stuyvesant Square and Tompkins Square). The building, on the former site of the famous vaudeville era Jefferson Theater, showcases a dramatic design by nationally renowned BKSK Architects that pays homage to the location's storied past. The building received LEED Gold certification, a rare achievement as a result of its "green" initiatives.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
