Property Description for 9 Minetta Street

Once in a lifetime opportunity! 9 Minetta is a home like no other: A modern townhouse at the best location in the Village - a serene tree-lined side street within the vibrant heart of Manhattan. A location just steps to some of the city’s best restaurants and boutiques as well as New York University.

Never to be repeated, 9 Minetta provides six floors of living space in a newly constructed townhouse within a historic landmarked zone. This was only possible as all approvals for this unique project could be obtained before the city expanded the landmark district in which the property is located.

From a private garage with a curb cut to a jacuzzi pool and an outdoor kitchen with grill on the roof, from an impressive view over the Village and downtown Manhattan to 100 year old trees surrounding the property and providing shade on the roof - 9 Minetta has it all.

Four bedrooms plus a home office (or 5th bedroom), three full bathrooms plus three powder rooms, a music room, a family room flowing into an outdoor garden, two dining areas and a living room perfect for entertaining - all of this makes 9 Minetta an outstanding location for a refined lifestyle.

Elegant materials throughout such as precious wood, marble and Corian provide an elevated living experience in approx. 7,200 square feet plus two additional outdoor areas.

All floors are flooded with natural light through enormous windows to both the front of the rear of this special property.

A spacious elevator connecting all floors and the roof, two wood-burning fireplaces and an additional gas fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, central heating and air condition throughout, floor heating in all areas of the property and a private outdoor area with a soothing waterfall all combine to the best property of its kind at an impeccable address.

First showings May 22nd, completion Fall 2021. A buyer’s interior designer can still work with the seller’s architect to incorporate personal touches to further elevate 9 Minetta to one of the world’s trophy properties.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
