Offering a SUN SATURATED 1 bedroom home in the Historic District of Sugar Hill and Hamilton Heights. View OPEN SKY with northern & western exposures. There is a total of 7 windows including one in the kitchen and the bathroom. Enjoy an open renovated kitchen and bathroom. The enormous bedroom is in the back overlooking gardens and quiet enough to hear a pin drop. This small boutique building on this small quiet street is a must see. There is a common laundry room in the building. Enjoy the sweet life of Sugar Hill's surrounding historic, architecturally significant homes that make this neighborhood unique. Convenient to C.U.N.Y, Columbia, The Dance Theater of Harlem, H.S.A. Harlem of the Arts and Columbia Medical Center. Relax outdoors in nearby Jacquie Robinson Park, one of only 4 spaces designated Historic Harlem Parks or venture further afield to Riverbank State Park. If you prefer a more intimate outdoor area visit Convent Garden, a serene green space lovingly cared for by the Convent Garden Community Association and local residents. Dining options includes favorites like The Chipped Cup, Tsion Cafe, Devin's Fish & Chips, Hogshead Tavern, The Grange, Oso, The Handpulled Noodle, Harlem Public, (one of my favorites) and newer venues like Buddha Taco Bar and Bono Trattoria and keep a lookout for newcomers: Bakers, WP, Barepas & L'Argot. Hamilton Heights | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Primarily a residential neighborhood, Hamilton Heights has a mix of brownstones, walk-ups and older apartment buildings, together with more luxurious apartment and condo buildings situated along Riverside Drive. Known for being a working class neighborhood in the past, now there are many artists, teachers and actors making their homes in Hamilton Heights.

Hamilton Heights has a diverse population that prides itself on being a tight-knit community, one where neighbors know and respect one another, work together on issues that confront the community, support each other in difficult times, and spend time together socializing at block and seasonal parties.

Although there are many types of public transportation available, the area subway stops may require a bit of a walk, so you will need to plan for this time in your commute.

Hamilton Heights has a definite family-oriented vibe, and there are many playgrounds and activities for children. Additionally, you can find child daycare at reasonable prices. Riverbank State Park has many activities and recreational opportunities geared toward children.

Although there are plentiful places to shop for groceries, everything from the bigger national chains to the neighborhood bodegas and delis, they are starting to show the impact of gentrification in the higher prices they are charging, especially for organic products.
