Property Description

Welcome to 26 Goodwin Place, a unique collection of 7 boutique condominiums located on a quiet street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Residences feature large living spaces and contemporary, open concept kitchens. Offering studio and 1 bedroom options, the apartments exhibit sleek lines and modern finishes. Beautiful 6" white oak floors flow towards oversized windows that highlight the high ceilings. Residents enjoy two common roof top decks that allow multiple exposures for city views.

1F is a well-appointed studio duplex with two full bathrooms. The epitome of loft living the upper level by far exceeds expectations: with windows that span almost the entirety of the wall and allow for a flood of northeastern light. This wall-to-wall level exhibits enough versatile room to create a bedroom, office, living room or a combination of the three. The second of the two full bathrooms is on the upper floor.

An open kitchen includes a gas range and microwave. Elegant cabinets, set off by a cool gray, tiled backsplash, contain generous storage and a Blomberg refrigerator and dishwasher. Enjoy an in-unit washer and dryer from LG that is tucked away in its own closet. Radiant heated floors add comfort on the way to the walk-in shower in the spa like bathrooms. The Tadiran a/c units keep you comfortable year-round while they purify the air. This unit comes with its own deeded storage.

Located within the Broadway corridor, 26 Goodwin Place is moments away from a multitude of world class restaurants, cocktail bars, breweries and hangouts the neighborhood has to offer. The Farmers Market meets at nearby Saratoga Park, the areas second largest public park and close to the Bed-Stuy Community Garden. The J and Z trains are conveniently minutes away at the Gates St station and the option of the L train at Myrtle Wyckoff is close by.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
